Got the lawn mowed, battery recharged. Just brought in my solar collection gear: severe thunderstorm warning now, 80mph winds. Should be short but we'll see.

Night temps appear to no longer going below freezing, so I think I will be able to put stuff out overnight now. Highs in the 50s F. No fire season this year so far, and the leaves on the trees are coming out, so that will reduce the danger.
We have been in drought conditions. Yesterday and today the 10 day forecast has been for rain every day starting Wednesday evening, including thunderstorms. I just looked and the precip forecast has been cut way back. No rain until late Thursday night. Showers Friday. Showers Saturday. Some rain Tuesday evening. The other days are overcast with a 20% chance of rain. And that's it. So much for our much needed 10 day soaking.

We are in the worst draught here in florida history. I know how it is. Although at least now we had some rain a past week, and chance of more.

Rain! We got over 5" in the past 12 hours and expecting more all week.
Send it this way. Forecasters cannot make up their minds on how much we're gonna get, but there's been some level of moisture in the 10 day forecast. We really need it.

Cool and slow growing rain. We need every drop.
It was in the low 80s yesterday but today we're back in the 50s. No rain for the past couple of days.
Here in central Virginia, we've gone from a stretch of high 90s to the low 70s today. It feels positively chilly. Our rain forecast has gone back up to 6 out of 7 days, but we all know how that is.

Into the 40s F. at night and the mid to high 50s F. during the day. Not very warm, even for here, but the weather has been consistently cool. There is a light rain falling at the moment and a light wind.

Hot, humid and dry, like John. They are saying that we "might" get rain for the next few days, too.
It's raining right now. A nice steady pace. All the forecasts now say 90% through Sunday morning (maybe 1.5" total), then 50/50 Sunday through Wednesday with thunderstorms in some spots. Dunno what kind of deficit we're at. Even if it doesn't rain a lot after Sunday, at least the cloud cover will slow down the evaporation.
