How's the Weather Where You Are?

My area was not supposed to see any sort of weather, but I knew better. When the clouds turned black, took on funny shapes and then there’s a big yellow spot in the middle of those clouds. If you don’t know something’s coming, you’ve been living under a weather rock.

Sure enough we lost power at 8:30 tonight. Looking at my power companies Facebook page there are at least 2600 people in our grid with no power. So it’s going to be a pretty long & warm night. I can only open some of the windows and there is absolutely no breeze whatsoever now that the storm that wasn’t a storm has passed.

Also, this is hard to believe, but it is so quiet up here on this hill, I could hear a pin drop. None of the livestock are moving. All the neighbor dogs are hunkered down. The coyotes are in their caves, the night critters have gone silent. It is eerie, but that’s OK. I have two big dogs and my brothers Smith & Wesson, so I’m not worried. Thankfully, it is nighttime, in the warm weather, so freezing isn’t an option.

I don’t think anybody on my road uses oxygen. If they do, I hope they have a battery pack..

I think spring has finally sprung. It's been in the 50s or 60s here for the past few days. We still have a couple of small patches of snow here and there, particularly in the woods, but it's mostly gone.

You Hold On @Connie Bennett !

Well that was hot and miserable, lol. 3 hrs 45 minutes. I was just falling asleep when the younger dog woke me up, evidently to let me know the power had come back on.

Best I can gather for now is the bigger part of the wind and lightening came thru NNW of my road and caused a big power outage. At the peak, 2,800+ were without power.

I sure do tip my hat to crews who go out in this weather to keep the power on for the rest of us😇😇

Now I’m wide awake and will likely fall asleep just before the alarm goes off 🤯🤯

We are supposed to see 89(F) tomorrow, Friday. If so, it will tie yet another record……..
