Amazon Photos: I can only find older conversations between users regarding this topic, but nothing in the Amazon Photos User stuff. Try right-clicking on a photo and seeing if you can create/copy a link to it to paste in the Insert Image functions, just as you would for any pic from a website.I do not know the first thing about linking a photo that way, @John Brunner . I have amazon photos and also google photo. Can I link a photo from one of those, or do I have to sign up for a special photo website like the Imgur ?
I have been resizing the photos that I share , but they might still take up too much space ?
Google Photos: A tech website said to Select ‘Share’ > ‘Create embed code’ (if available.)
A different tech site said you might see Create Link rather than Create embed code. Try pasting that link in the Insert Image function. If the link begins and ends with the [IMG} tags, paste it directly in your comment without using the Insert Image function.
Whichever you try, make sure to test it after linking it here by going to a different page/thread, then come back and see if it's still visible. Some folks said the pic disappears when they come back to the page, but the conversations I found were 5+ years old.
If that does not work, I can walk you through the IMGUR stuff. It's pretty easy, but looks complicated when each step is detailed like I did above. The simplified steps are:
>Go to IMGUR.com
>Upload a photo exactly as you would any other forum.
>Hover over the photo to display the Copy Link button and click on the three dots.
>Select Get Shared Links and click on the Copy Link by the BBCode (Forums)
>Paste that link directly into your Comment
