Most First World countries have made it very difficult or impossible for retirees. Let’s not go into socialized medical coverage. So we will batten the hatches and stock up on wine, whine and cat food. I will not pull out the Morning Glories despite of their color.

Putting in 4 socialists will help them. The head of Iran just congratulated them on the 'collapse' of our country.
 
I'm surprised she lost, too, because I thought she'd get votes from the more reasonable Democrats who have voted for her in the past, but I guess there aren't enough reasonable Democrats in Maine to make up for the Republicans who are happy to be rid of her, but not happy with her replacement. A large number of Republicans in Maine have never liked her, although most held their noses and voted for her, while others stayed home or wrote other names in.

Honestly, Collins is another fossil that has surpassed her expiration date. I have read some of her statements after she lost the election and she's certainly tossing the blame on everyone except herself. Go home, grannie.

I didn't know what the context was, and there was also the idea that competent people can usually handle their own stuff. Unless it's someone I like, I don't generally come to the defense of others. I might come to the defense of a child, but unless there's a reason to think otherwise, I consider adults to be as capable as I am.
