Hate Trump - Love Trump - Don't Hate Trump

I already said the number one reason I didn't vote for Trump, so I don't know why you would expect me to be afraid to explain myself.
Then I apologize. However, I can't speak for everyone here, but I don't think most of us care whether you voted for Trump or not. You're welcome to think whatever you want to think, vote however you want to vote, and to express your opinions here, as long as it's not in the form of personal attacks. This all came about in a thread about Pam Bondi being fired, and I know there are a lot of Trump voters who were glad she was fired, as well as others who liked having a neoconservative in the AG's office. Trump does a lot of things I don't like, but it is my strong opinion that Kamala would have been many times worse, and that Biden never had a clue as to what went on under his name.

Ken, thanks for taking the time to answer me point by point, I thought you would just ignore me. I have lots of friends and relatives who are Trump supporters and as I've come to see it we are just basing our votes on different factors that are more important to us. I'm conservative in many areas and I've admired Republican presidents in the past, just not this one.

Saying that he thought the veterans who died for our country were losers.

He never said this. The haters of America that don't respect vets, especially
Viet Nam, twisted his comment to the point of it being outright false.

Bragging, boasting and lying.

He does brag but does have history that backs it up. He is a successful businessman. Much of his bragging is meant to provoke his haters that once loved him and enjoyed his parties, but turned against him when he left their party of luxury beliefs. They can believe in socialism since they set themselves up to be immune from its control. I can't think of any outright lies that are documented. I like that he brags about America to other countries. No president or anyone holding public office should run down their country, such as the Somalian loyalist that hates America does.

Insulting people, particularly women.

Name instances where he has insulted women for no justifiable reason. Maybe you consider males posing as women to be women, but I don't and never will. Trump insults are words and Democrat insults are violence. We can discuss the Southern Democrats, the founders of the KKK if you like. We can discuss LBJ and him throwing a half drank can of beer at a little dark skin girl walking along a Texas back road or him using the word considered the ultimate insult to folks from Southern slavery roots. This is documented! Liberal women out blocking justice and infringing on other peoples rights, should be insulted. Women intentionally violating the law and impeding justice, should be insulted.

Divorcing two women and cheating on all three wives.

Disliking what he did or didn't do in his personal life, doesn't justify labeling him as a fascist or Nazi. There is no proof of his cheating on all three wives. He may have, but if we judge by those standards, then we wouldn't ever have another Democrat president.

Inciting a riot on January 6th.

This is proven completely false. His words were distorted by the BBC where he speech was spliced to make it look like he said something he didn't. The opposite is actually true. Jan. 6th is on Nancy Pelosi who orchestrated the entire invasion.

Casting unwarranted suspicion on our voting system.

Hahaha! When video evidence shows hundreds cases and boxes being brought into count after the independent and Republican monitors have been sent home and vote supposedly finished, I call that fraud. When thousands of documented cases all over the USA of ballot stuffing, busing in paid voters, and things like mail voting with extended deadlines that close only after the Democrats got the votes they needed, then I say fraud. Then the documented cases of dead people voting and babies voting not to mention the voters with fake ID furnished by the Democrats to rig elections all over the country. Then we have several cases of postal workers losing thousands of votes in dominate Republican areas. I could go on for days with voter fraud that was even documented when JFK won.

Making enemies of our long term allies.

Totally false, but your right to believe. He hasn't made enemies, but rather gained respect from countries that were ripping us off. Who do these countries call when they need help? An analogy would be like the mother cow used to nurse several calves. There comes a time when old mama cows titties are raw and the grown lazy calves need to be weaned. We need to run our foreign aid like a mother cat. Once those kittens are ready to get out on their own, they best not try to get near mama cats titties are they are going to get the claw and maybe bit.

Claiming to be a Christian but never going to church except for funerals, weddings, etc.

Going to church has nothing to do with being a Christian in todays world. Churches were formed back in the days of the Apostles for strength and encouragement. Todays major churches don't resemble those churches and are mainly businesses with substantial wealth. I doubt it would change any liberals mind if Trump started attending the Little Brown Church in the Vale.

Not being able to quote a single verse of the Bible. Putting his own face inside a version of the Bible.

I have no idea how many if any verses of the Bible Trump can quote. The Bible itself tells us that quoting scripture is not a measure of holiness.

Trying to buy or take Greenland.

(y)(y)(y)

Continually using bad language.

Hahaha! His language is nothing compared to your Democrats, especially young Democrat women. If you want a president that doesn't cuss, well good luck.

Fostering hatred and division among Americans by insulting all Democrats.

Hahaha! What a crock! The Democrats have tried him falsely in court, outright lied about him, tried to connect him with Russia (which was Treason on Obamas part) and also he hasn't insulted all Democrats, some even left the Democrat party because he praised them for being clear thinkers. Tulsi Gifford is one example. RFK another. No Democrat administration would put those from other parties on their team.

Blaming past administrations for all his own failures.

Name one failure of his he has blamed the Democrats for? We almost lost our country under the Democrat rule with an auto pen president and he has ever right and certainly backed by facts if he blames them for trying to destroy our nation by open borders. No country anywhere has done such a stupid reckless thing. The blood of those murdered by illegals, yes illegal and criminal, is on the hands of the Democrats, just like the blood of all the slaves murdered by the Democrat KKK.

Harsh anti-immigrations policies.

What? Not harsh enough! One of my grandpas and several other relatives were Texas ranchers with property bordering the Rio Grande. The only reason any one enters our country illegal, is they cannot cross at the border check points for some reason. Usually because they have committed a crime. Children crossing are forced to because they are being trafficked and no way they can cross legally without the "coyotes" being arrested. The crime from illegals in this country is way more prevalent than advertised. Crimes from illegals have plagued Texas before I was a child and saw people swimming the Rio Grande, many times swimming with the wild hogs and using reeds to breathe. One of my earliest memories is watching illegals swim the Rio Grande and my grandpa explaining why they were doing it, unlike his friends and contract Vaqueros that crossed legally with Visas to work.

Harsh treatment of people who were hired under diversity rules.

Well, when you have someone in an important office goes around stealing women luggage at airports, I don't think he was harsh enough. When men were allowed to invade women's sports and take away girls and women's dreams, then I think Trump has been too soft. When the former administration had open nudeness by gays and events mocking anyone that didn't believe men could become full fledged women and denied the science of biology and turned our military into a mockery, then I am glad we finally have a president that has a real pair.

Rolling back environmental policies.

When the world is not on board with the same policies, then all these policies do is bring the USA down and put China in power. Much of these policies were not based on sound science, but emotion and the anger of a girl, with mental issues, that was made into an expert, when she doesn't even have knowledge of basic science. Policies without merit, were done away with. Much environment polices were made from emotion, fear, and feelings.

Lowering the amount of respect Americans once received from other countries.

Trump has gained respect of all the countries, especially those that were laughing at us for our lack of leadership under the Biden disaster. Terrorist took advantage of our weakness and almost took over this country. We are now finding out how hard it is to remove these non citizen America haters from our country. How many Muslin countries would have an unveiled woman wearing a cross as one of their leaders? ZERO!

Starting a war.

Trump did not start a war. He has ended many and is just finishing what weak Democrat leaders allowed to happen in Iran. He is ending war, not starting it. If you are all for women's rights, then you should be thankful he is taking Iran down. My challenge to any women, especially these Hollywood numb brains, is go live in Iran and then tell me how they respected you as a woman. The biggest war on women's rights happened under the Obama and Biden administrations. Men identifying as women, demanding to use the same restrooms and participate in all women events as a woman, was the biggest assault on women's rights. The war on women under the Biden years was unbelievable. What is more unbelievable is that some women cannot see how they were degraded and used as pawns in a game that would lead to their own demise.

I have made it clear for years that I can't stand Trump's personality and his juvenile behavior-- name calling and bully tactics. I'd much prefer a more refined person such as Marco Rubio or JD Vance in the White House, and hopefully that will come to pass. That said, Trump has accomplished so much in a short time that is good for America, and I support most of his policies. We were the laughing stock of the entire world during Joe Biden's years, and so much damage was done to the country by the democrats.

I'm not sure I support the war action and I hope that is over soon before more people die, or it turns into an on-going drawn out conflict.

Although I stay clear of political threads, I will post this once and saying, I am in agreement with your post.

By definition, I am a liberal (more so than any of the other choices, anyhow; although it's a blend). Most people, who we refer to as liberals, are actually progressives, by definition. The Republican presidents you liked might have been the ones I disliked, perhaps - namely, both of the Bush's. I didn't vote for the first Bush and, while I did vote for GW in his first term, I did not vote for his reelection. I liked Reagan's rhetoric but despite the words, government got bigger under Reagan, including the Department of Education, which he had promised to eliminate. One of his speechwriters, Pat Buchanan, later said that Reagan gave the speeches, but Bush (his VP) set the policy. I did vote for Reagan, on the basis of his rhetoric the first time, and on the basis of his Democrat opponent the second time. I liked Jimmy Carter, but he was a horrible president.

Actually, most of us here love to discuss issues, and we don’t all agree with each other about everything, political or not. Those of us who are conservative probably have friends and relatives who are liberals, and we are not the haters we are portrayed to be.
Dave Earl thought we were fine people until he discovered we support the president, and now he thinks we will not speak to him just because he has family who are gay.

That identity doesn’t make any difference, at least to most of us here, and it obviously doesn’t matter to the president either, since he has quite a few gay people around him that he likes and respects.
We are mostly live and let live people…….. but don’t attack our country, or our veterans, or we will not like the attacker at all after that.

It is my personal belief that most of the people in this country , regardless of who they voted for , love America and only want the best for this country, and for all of us to remain free.
There is just a serious void between what each side is told is happening , and why it is happening.

I won’t go over the points you laid out, @Andie White , because that has already been done (and explained well) but I do believe that a lot of what President Trump does is done purposely to keep the haters confused.
It is a scripted act, and like a magician, he uses it to direct attention away from what he does not want you to notice while he surprises his opponents.

I firmly believe that our president loves this country, and he has come close to losing his life several times, trying to protect and rescue America, and at a time when he could have just walked away and enjoyed retirement instead. He is not perfect, and he needs our prayers and God’s hand upon him so that he can do his best as our president.

Wow. Am I ever sorry that I clicked on this thread. I knew better than to wander into the politics section, but I foolishly thought this was just going to be a civilized discussion. Ha.

Yes, that guy that got banned deserved it.

But it also opened my eyes to a couple of things. I knew this was a conservative site just by some of the random comments in other sections.

However, I had no idea there were people here who are so far down the MAGA rabbit hole they believe anything and everything Trump says.

Someone said something about 'liberal hogwash' in another thread, and I quoted them and asked that was. I got no response.

Being the father of two adult gay children, (that alone will get me shunned by half the people in here), I cannot, in good conscience, rub elbows with some of the people in here who seem to think 'the libs' don't deserve to have the same rights as everyone else.

So anyway, thanks to the folks who've been nice during my short stay here.

To the rest, I hope one day you wake up to see, all politics aside, what a small, petty, vindictive, all round slimy human being Donald Trump truly is.

Democrats are starting to walk back on LIBERAL HOGWASH because it is starting to hurt their numbers. Bringing in tens of million illegal aliens, basically invited by the Biden administration, suddenly seems the worst IMO. Orchestrated worldwide by the WEF. Definitely not to help us with farm labor. Democrats are Using our laws against us. Holding up our government to get their way. Transgendering children without parental involvement. Trying to take out federal defense organizations that are working under the law and those in airports.
Gays and trans Fighting for Muslim ideology in our country when those countries supporting it would kill those people...
Not answering your question at first was trying to not get into it after stepping in it.

My brother, the one who recently died, was a rabid Democrat. The last time I visited him, another of my brothers warned me not to talk politics. My response was that I wished I had brought my MAGA hat, which I don't actually have. We're brothers. We could argue as children and still love one another, so why not now? My step-daughter, although she was already an adult when I married, was someone I loved very much, and we had much in common. When we kept her things for her while she was was deployed in Iraq, I found that about one-third of her books were in my own collection. Yet, she was one of the main founders of the LGB coalition that forced the end of "don't ask, don't tell" in the military. She married a woman, but we had far more in common than not, and even that was an issue that could discuss without anyone going off the deep end. She died young, and I miss her. I don't know where people get the idea that they have to hate everyone they disagree with, but I wish they'd stop. When saying disparaging things about Democrats, with the exception of those who are attacking people in the streets and burning things down, I usually speak of "elected Democrats," because something bad happens to them once they take office.

This is my step-daughter, and she was far more than what this article notes. For that matter, I was proud of her work with SPARTA, not necessarily because I believed in the mission but because her accomplishments were amazing, and she did it without the hatred that we see from the current alphabet-soup crowd. What's not to admire?

I agree and then some. I haven't liked Trump since before he was into politics after seeing the way he treated people in Scotland, his mother's place of birth.
He put a golf course on the shoreline there and really did a number of the residents then added indults to injury.
Considering the choices we had I voted for him.

There are two types of people in the USA.

Those that support their military and the President, and had rather see us try and fail that not to try at all.

Then those that hate the President and the military and when they succeed, find fault because their dreams of Trump failing were dashed.

If everyone would see successes as an American victory and defeats as a gallant effort to strengthen America, then this country would be strong. The Trump haters had rather fight their own country folks than face off with the real enemy.

@Faye Fox Sorry I couldn't copy your post here it made this too long to go.
Thanks for your time Faye. I won't go over it point by point because I don't think we'd get anywhere. Obviously, I believe my sources and you believe your sources and they tell very different stories.

I am not going to try to defend every Democrat in the country, certainly not the KKK, or southern Democrats of the past. I was raised by Republican Presbyterians in West Virginia, a state that fought with the Union in the Civil War.

Please don't hold me responsible for slavery (my people were starving in Ireland while that was going on.)

Transgendered people (1% of the population) aren't enough of an issue for me to base a vote on. I think that's a decision between adults and their doctors, it's none of my actual business. The world of sports has settled that men who transgendered after puberty cannot compete in women's sports. That's good enough for me.

Do not blame me for LBJ, JFK or any Democrat until Carter, the first one I voted for. I won't blame you for anything Nixon did.

Do not accuse me of hating America or not respecting Veterans. My husband was full time active duty in the USAF for 22 years and now volunteers with the honor guard for all our county military funerals. Your gross generalization that people who don't support Trump don't support the military wont wash with me, 49.8% of veterans are Democrats.

"Disliking what he did or didn't do in his personal life, doesn't justify labeling him as a fascist or Nazi." I have never once called him that. Your post is full of such strawmen arguments.

Trump is not going to war against Denmark over Greenland. His comments about not ruling anything out is the kind of bluster that might be embarassing if not for the fact that it has worked so well for him. While everyone is foaming at the mouth over something he has said, or deliberaly left unsaid, he is going about the business of getting someting else done, and, in this case, ruling something out would simply reduce his bargaining power at the onset. If he succeeds in taking Greenland, which I hope he does, it will be through persuading the Greenlanders that the United States would do more for them than Denmark, and if that takes investment, I think it would be a good one.

Recently, Trump was discussing the problem of giving citizenship to foreigners who are born on American soil by decrying wealthy Chinese, who arranged for their children to be born in an American territory, thereby gaining American citizenship. I agree that this is a major problem. However, one of the executive orders he signed was one to allow wealthy people who wanted to come to America a speedy path to citizenship, and it seems to me that this is kind of the same thing. Much of Trump's appeal is that he has positioned himself as a champion of the little people in America, yet he is very much a part of the American elite and through his suppression of the Epstein saga and others of the elite whom he has chosen not to pursue through legal means, it is clear that his heart is with the worldwide elite. Then again, the American Revolution came about largely through the efforts of the American elite.

Yes.
I definitely would prefer the citizens of Greenland would be behind the union.

He wants aliens who would be assets to the country to be allowed in not just anyone who wants a better life from us.
