Getting Old

I had outside work I intended to do yesterday afternoon. Much of it was on a ladder repairing some roof damage from the wind and taking down one of our solar security cameras to relocate it. I did the "mandatory stuff" and checked the chickens, but I just couldn't continue. I came in and told my wife that I felt like a VERY OLD MAN. I sat in a chair and fell asleep for two hours. I never did the optional stuff I had scheduled. Today will be driving into the nearest town to do church deposits, pay charity utility bills for other people and Senior shopping for odds and ends. I also need to visit the hospital to see how to get a small bill paid somehow if I can.
 
This is a true story..... Please let me tell you what happened to me a few days ago....
I was getting ready to take a shower.. I thought I had forgotten something before entering the bathtub for my shower.. I checked everything and it seemed OK.. I thought if I needed something, I would call out to Annmarie and she will bring it to me..
I proceeded to get into the shower where the water was already on.. As soon as I got into the tub, I realized what I had forgotten...... Are you ready for this???
I HAD FORGOTTEN TO TAKE OFF MY SOCKS.... Well, can you just picture me in the shower trying to take off my socks that are totally wet and sticking to my feet.. That isn't an easy task under any conditions..
I shut the water, opened up the shower curtain, sat on the edge of the tub and struggled like heck to get the socks off..I wrung them out and threw them into the sink in the meantime while I took my shower..
NOW IF THAT ISN'T A SENIOR THING..............................Getting old could be sometimes a comedy..

Be care when out and about, there is a nasty flu going around.
My youngest daughter has it and she is really sick, now. I called her this am and she was using inhaler, and cough medicine. She is 55 and usually very healthy.

When I work outside around the place, there is no one around to catch anything from. My eldest son and his family are all down with the Type A influenza. They reportedly have very high fevers.

If hubby comes in contact with anyone, even with a sneeze, he comes to me and asks for the stuff to keep from getting sick. I have a lot for that. But mostly I give him four capsules of Immuno Well RX. Seems to work.

I love my cane!!!!
Gets me where I need to go, gives me something to lean on when watering over the fence, gives me a hook to get cheese off the top shelf at the store and lets me apply for handicapped parking... ;)

Zinc supplement is good to help prevent viruses from replicating, and pretty much everything you were advised against or prevent from taking during Covid are good to use in moderation

I don't need a cane, yet. I was still nauseated from anesthesia and having trouble with depth perception with the eyepatch. I would be "pawing" at the curb if not for my hero holding my arm.
