I'm thinking about starting to use my mini-trampoline again. I used to use that thing religiously but somehow I don't anymore. I'm another who hates a treadmill; I have a nice one that I'd love to get rid of.

Thats good but mine keeps right on a hurtin, 'another song'.When I get up from a chair, I am tempted to walk like a crippled old man because my hip hurts and my knees hurt. But once I take a few steps, that goes away and I can walk 15 miles if I have time for it.
Yeah, I have an elliptical that also needs to go. Unfortunately the elliptical and the treadmill are both upstairs. I don't think my husband and I can handle them to get them down the stairs and loaded in the truck to haul off. I know we carried them up there but that was years ago.We have an elliptical that we need to get rid of too.
I was wondering if there is a thrift store somewhere that would pick it up. The one we need to get rid of is not up stairs, but it is in a back bedroom.Yeah, I have an elliptical that also needs to go. Unfortunately the elliptical and the treadmill are both upstairs. In the summer here, I walk outside too, but during the winter, the ice and snow make longer walks difficult. It is easy to use, though and has handrails to keep me from falling should I lose my balance.

At one time, I had an elliptical, stationary bike, and a treadmill. I hung clothes on them after the novelty of it wore off.We ended up taking it all to a consignment auction. We have a recreation center I can go to if I want to use any of those things. It also has an indoor walking area. It is free to seniors, well sorta, if your insurance covers it.
I guess I need to investigate whether any organization would pick them up; maybe the Salvation Army would come get them.I was wondering if there is a thrift store somewhere that would pick it up. The one we need to get rid of is not up stairs, but it is in a back bedroom.
I have a tv mounted in front of the treadmill, so it is relatively painless for me to walk a distance. My wife cannot use it as it makes her hips hurt. I know a guy who used to train on a treadmill my running a couple miles a day. He had to have both knees replaced and the doc told him it was most likely due to extensive use of the treadmill. In cold snowy climates, one has to do something as we age. Youngest son tells us we should move to a warmer climate as it would likely add years to our life. Wife and I could never agree on a place to move, so that may be unlikely. I think son really just wants us to move someplace warm so he has someplace to visit that would be free.![]()

I just don't like the "feel" of a treadmill. It is not a natural gait for me somehow. I have several Leslie Sansone exercise videos that are basically walking in place that I much prefer to a treadmill.
I'm thinking about taking mine out of the box. I've had it for about a year or more, now, and haven't opened the package.I'm thinking about starting to use my mini-trampoline again.

Here's an easy way to get started, so try this. (10 minute video)I'm thinking about taking mine out of the box. I've had it for about a year or more, now, and haven't opened the package.
Looks nice, Kate. If that was in the US, jackass drivers would be driving their cars on that or parking there.![]()
This is what momma would call,' jumping fry frying pan into fire' for most of us.Here's an easy way to get started, so try this. (10 minute video)
This is what I do on my mini trampoline, too. I never have my feet off of the net, I just bounce , and even that does not take much to tire me out anymore. Here's an easy way to get started, so try this. (10 minute video)

The vibration plate also helps me to exercise and drain my lymph glands to help with swelling, and I am more apt to use that than the rebounder. It has been so cold the last couple of months, and we don’t keep the back rooms warm during the day, so I have not even used the vibration plate as much as before, but now the weather is getting warmer, and I am going to start using it again.
The vibration plate does so many good things besides just an exercise workout , since it helps drain lymph and promotes oxygen in muscles that you do not even know you are using .
