Declassified: China Stole 220 Million Americans’ Voter Registration Records. The White House Government Transparency Task Force released declassified intelligence on July 30 confirming that China and its proxies acquired as many as 220 million Americans’ voter registration records — including non-publicly available data that the Intelligence Community first flagged in 2022 when it identified Chinese Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) actors targeting U.S. voter infrastructure. The declassified documents reveal that adversaries holding this data could alter voter rolls to prevent individuals or entire groups from casting ballots, trigger mass Election Day delays, or force the widespread use of provisional ballots to sow confusion. The data could also be used to build tailored foreign interference campaigns targeting specific voter populations. Four agencies — the ODNI, NSA, CIA, and DHS — formally approved the factual statements President Trump delivered in his July 16 speech on election integrity, representing a rare and significant intelligence community coordination on a public release. The revelations add overwhelming urgency to passage of the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship to register to vote nationwide.
Several GOP senators are trying to cancel the August recess to get the SAVE act passed.

Oh, rest assured I have written my representatives. And since they are all republican, I used short, simple words so as to be understood expressing my total opposition to the "SAVE America Act". This is unneeded, and is intended to limit voting for legal voters.

I would really love to know exactly how requiring a voter ID would in any way limit voting for legal voters. Please elaborate, and use any words you choose. Most of us have no trouble following your sneering, hateful posts, even with 2 syllable words.
You can sling the Republican hate to a different audience. I am a CONSERVATIVE, not a Republican.

Ed, this is getting long in the tooth. You expressed your political views and they are yours. I am a legal immigrant who jumped through the hoops of Naturalization to be able to vote and have no heartburn with showing appropriate ID.

Well then, the solution is obvious. Defund ICE and the police. Government run food stores, free child care, free transportation, rent freezes, free everything. Let them run the assylum.

Ed, I want freedom for the citizens of a country to vote. There are legal ways to become a citizen and then have at it. Work, assimilate, vote...
To get a 'real id' some said was too hard and would exclude some people. When I went to get one, I found that my 50 year old daughter was a bastard because the priest that married me forgot to register my first marriage certificate. Also that I could not fly anywhere I wanted nor go into federal buildings, like the Social Security office.

It was a little bit difficult and had some people chuckling. Oklahoma would not give out my first husband's birth certificate because I was not he nor his parents. They did take my money for the request, though.
So, I had to get two witnesses from a 53 year old ceremony to certify they were there, gather as much paperwork from my side as needed to prove name changes, and go to court to sue for proof to take to the DMV. It just took a bit of planning and research. There are computers at the library.
If I needed to do that to be able to vote, I would have done it too, if not to just have proof to be able to go freely where I wanted to. There is paperwork somewhere if you need to go and find it. That is kind of the point. And with invasions all over the world, it just goes to show we need it.
I don't want millions of people swimming the Rio Grand or bopping in through Canada to vote here and I think that California's absolute refusal to even ask for ID to vote is a disgrace.
How does having identification limit voting for LEGAL voters.
What discourages me are not the crazies on either side of the political spectrum, since I'm more likely to view them as entertaining, but those who will hold to a fanatical trust in whichever team they have decided to join, and these can be found on both sides as well. These are the Democrats, like Ed, who will support whatever the Democrats want him to support without delegating even a couple of brain cells to the task. Then there are the avid Trump supporters who will dutifully attack anyone who still believes the stuff that Trump ran on less than two years ago, acting as though whatever Trump believes today is what he has always believed.

What I read said China stole 180 million records and returned 220 million records to the system in an attempt to tamper with the elections and make manipulation to take place by having more voters on the rolls than there were actual registered voters. That is how mail-in and drop-off voting resulting in more votes cast in some areas than there were voters, and how Biden drew many more votes than Obama or Trump. I don't know if the Chinese or the Democrats were doing the manipulating, but the Chinese definitely facilitated the process. Venezuela was involved somehow as well. The voting software used by Dominion was developed by the Chinese for Maduro in Venezuela to allow him to control election results. Dominion then moved the system to the U.S. by winning contracts in various states.

Ken- Accusing me of being a "democrat, like Ed" is insulting and I resent it.
I am not a democrat any more than I am a republican. I find both main parties have very much to explain and answer for.
But the fact is that the republicans hold much more power now, and most of the stuff they propose is garbage intended to punish someone or other who the First Felon dislikes.
And you obviously know nothing about me if you think I "support whatever the democrats want him to support without delegating even a couple of brain cells to the task". I call 'em the way I see 'em without regard to party or group suggesting.
And so why do I end many of my posts by wishing "confusion to the republicans" and not to the democrats? Becaise the demacrats have confusion aplenty on their own, without my wishing it for them.

Ed, I apologize if I insulted you. I don't recall ever seeing you say one thing in disagreement with the prevailing Democrat opinion, even when they seemed preposterous, so it seemed reasonable to believe that you just went along with whatever they were saying today.
Given a choice between Trump and whoever the Democrats would be likely to run against him, I'd vote for Trump again if I could, but Trump's positions today are far different from what he ran on in 2016, 2020, and 2024. I don't regret my vote, but I am disgusted when those who would hold him to the positions he ran on are being dismissed as "neocons" or "anti-Trumpers." If he changed his mind on some of his most vocal positions, such as the Epstein files or no new wars, I'd rather he admit it and give us his reasons than pretend that his positions are the same ones we voted for less than two years ago.

Yes, exactly. I am also disappointed that he makes everything all about him, even sports team award ceremonies. Such a pompous ass with that ego; it's tiresome and I won't be sorry when his term is up. I just hope another Republican will win and keep a crazy democrat out of the White House.
To some extent, I think that's a male-female thing. With some exceptions, mostly among those who wouldn't like him anyhow, women are far more likely to be disgusted with his bombast than men, who are more likely to be amused than offended.
