Wash laundry in a wringer washing machine...
Same here, Milly, I never put things through the rollers, but everything else was fair game.I wasn't allowed to help with the wringer. My Mum was worried I would get my hand stuck in the wringer.
Putting the blue bag in the rinsing water for the white washing.
I still enjoy ironing and do it from spring until fall, pressing hubby's collection of button-down sports shirts along with things I wear.I used to enjoy ironing.
I was bought up on a small, family run poultry farm. I used to help grade and pack the eggs. The small family farms are on the whole a thing of the past. They are now big concerns.

I had one of them till very recently ……sold it when we had a garage sale last November @Madge BumsteadFetching moms washboard for her!
When the washing machine gave-out, moms old-fashioned glass front washboard came out!

We have several junk / antique shops in our area one in particular always seems to. have a few in the shop ( the odd times I have a look )It was my husband's job to light the chip heater when he came home from school. He would be in deep trouble if he was late in lighting it.
If I had known about the washboard Kate I would have bought it off of you.
These venetian blinds were my Mum's pride and joy.
