Exercise, Walking, Etc.

10 pounds of weights for 5 minutes. You strong, girl! 🏋️‍♀️ :D I'm just a weakling. I do 5 pounds of hand weights for a minute or so a few times through out the day. I can probably do 8 pounds, but why exert myself.:ROFLMAO:

I started with 5lbs but when it became too easy I up it to 10 lbs !

I think that's what your suppose to do !

It takes time ....at least your doing something ...You Go Girl ☺️

4.3 miles. I almost called my wife to bring me water because temperatures reached the 90s, but by then, I was a half mile from home, and it was mostly downhill. The section from my house (the start and end point) to the hospital is all uphill, so I often include that walk, along with the adjacent streets, when I feel like I still need some more exercise at the end of a walk. Poplar and Spruce are uphill, so I take the intersecting streets not only to add some distance to my walk but also to get a break from the climb, since they are largely flat.

Walking gets rid of my back pain, so, I do a lot of it. Nothing I measure, just walk until I feel better.
Yes, walking around does help back pain. What kind of bed do you have?
In my 50's (23 yrs ago) I was only able to sleep a couple of hours, then I'd have to get up & walk around every two hours to relieve low back pain.
At 5 am, I saw a TV ad for a Tempur Pedic bed. Since it had a 3-month free trial period & I was desperate, I ordered it. For 5 nights, it didn't help so I planned to return it. On the 6th night, I went to bed at my usual 1 am. I woke up, thinking it was 3 am & found out it was 8 am & I had no back pain. Since then, I only have back pain a couple of times/year & it's not bad. The mattress seems to re-align the vertebrae or somehow fix it.
Back then, the brand was the only option; now several companies make similar mattresses. If I didn't already have the Tempur Pedic, I would try the "Dormeo" mattress topper; it's similar but it's supposed to be better. And much less expensive.
