When you start a thread, just below the thread title field, you'll see a box for "Discussion" and one for "Poll? - Click the one for "Poll." Not all areas allow polls, but I can easily allow polls in any area where someone wants a poll. It wasn't the default, so I haven't done so everywhere. How is a poll created on here? I'd like to create one but haven't discovered how to do it.
When I was researching Libertarianism, I knew about the eopen borders but I never saw anything then about allowing non-citizens to vote in elections. The open borders claim was coupled withno welfare benefits of any kind, so there would be no economic reason to enter the U.S. other than a job. It was largely the condition that existed for many years in the West on the Mexican border. One thing about Libertarianism or any other political philosophy that calls for open borders or allowing anyone to vote in elections is that the rest of your political philosophy doesn't matter because our government can be lost in one election, and you can't vote your way out of socialism or communism because honest elections aren't part of the plan.
Libertarianism, as a political philosophy, doesn't necessarily go there, but Libertarians too often tend to, which is similar to the realities of what you see when a country actually adopts socialism or communism. When I was researching Libertarianism, I knew about the eopen borders but I never saw anything then about allowing non-citizens to vote in elections. I studied Libertarianism a bit when Harry Browne ran for the Presidency, and he was where I got my impression of the philosophy. Socialism and Communism don't generally endorse freedom of movement over borders, and most don't legalize drugs. The drug issue was what the Libertarians were concerned with in Alaska, and that is what turned me off the most. They thought all drugs should be OTC and the government should not support rehab, and IMO that would not only lead to the death of a lot of young people but would give a class of addicts that woulld be dying in the streets across the nation.Libertarianism, as a political philosophy, doesn't necessarily go there, but Libertarians too often tend to, which is similar to the realities of what you see when a country actually adopts socialism or communism.
Libertarianism allows you to do what you want, legally, as long as it does not hurt anyone. The insane economic drain on the country with all the freebies to non citizen migrants and loose policing hurts a LOT of people. When I was researching Libertarianism, I knew about the eopen borders but I never saw anything then about allowing non-citizens to vote in elections. Don, do we not have that right now? Needle town instead of tinsel town.I studied Libertarianism a bit when Harry Browne ran for the Presidency, and he was where I got my impression of the philosophy.
