There are a couple I've never heard of, some I have never liked, several I haven't had in a long time, and others I still eat regularly. I got up during the night last night to make a glass of Tang, and Spam is available in several flavors now; still not my favorite food, but I don't hate it. When my wife is out of town, I'll often get a TV Dinner, not for the convenience but because I like the ones with chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn. I'm Swedish, so I have to like Swedish meatballs.

I'll make green bean casserole on Thanksgiving and maybe once more during the year.
Tuna noodle casserole is a once every few years kind of thing. I have a couple of different recipes that I like.
Same goes for Creamed chipped beef...just every so often. Sometimes I'll buy a frozen SoS, but I'll usually make a basic white sauce and use Buddig chipped beef from the lunch meat section. And I always have corn on the side.

-I bought a can of Spam during the Covid hysteria; I think it's still in the pantry.
-Tuna casserole (husband loves it)
-Chicken ala King (it's like pot pie w/o the crust)
-Ambrosia salad on holidays (Also "Watergate Salad")
-SOS
-Waldorf Salad (love it. A local cafeteria makes delicious Waldorf.)
-Green Bean casserole on holidays
 
Spam would be a good prep food, and I've always liked Ambrosia (and Watergate salad). As for Tang, I hadn't had any for a few decades and was surprised to find it was still on the market, and that our only grocery store carried it, so we always have some on hand here now. I don't think my wife likes it, but I do, and that's all that really counts, after all. My dad used to buy Liverwurst (disgusting stuff), and Vienna Sausages are only slightly better. I like SOS, although it's been a while since I've had it.

Tuna noodle casserole--- Just like Beth, I make it for my husband because he likes it. I don’t!
Chicken ala king
Chiffon cake--- I think that is the same as a sponge cake and similar to angel food cake? :unsure: I make them on occasion.
Salads--cranberry salad on holidays.

I like Spam and buy on occasion- dry fried in a skillet til crispy.
Ever so often,, once a year at the most likely vienna sausages- gives me heart burn some
Green Bean Casserole is so over used we try to avoid it...
Ambrosia salad like but have not eaten in years
Not hot tuna of any kind
Chicken la king ,,oh yes like that
Do like good Swedish meat balls
Everything else, never tried, or do not like:)

Th only thing I still eat is vieeena sausage. It is a good lunch with a pack of Nabs when you are fishing. Most of those other things, I never even heard of.

How do you make tuna noodle casserole? I like tuna so I might try that.

I bought some spam during COVID, but when I tried to eat it, it was so salty I couldn't eat it.
 
Ambrosia Fruit Salad is the only one, and even then, rarely.

Every now and then hubby and I grow tired of big meals so we opt for something simple, something that hearkens back to our own childhoods.

- Beans & Wieners
- Kraft Dinner. In an entire year I may buy two boxes
- Perogies with cheddar, onions and sour cream!
- Fried thin sliced potatoes along with a can of wild red salmon, still an all-time favourite of mine!
- Hotdogs (100% beef wieners and smokies)!

I remember TANG from my childhood! We went through it like water! TANG and Kool-Aid!
 
I eat sardines, although I prefer kippers.
I love kipper snacks. We always had them around the house when I was a kid. King Oscar is my go-to, although I've not tried other brands. I looked into buying genuine dried herring that you reconstitute over steam in the traditional British way, but all I could find is shipped from Scotland and too expensive just to satisfy my curiosity.

I keep the pantry stocked with Sardines, oysters and mussels, canned salmon and tuna, and a variety of other sardine-like canned fish.

I saw a post on another site where a member made a pasta dish by sauteing shallot and garlic in the oil from tinned oysters, then added some halved cherry tomatoes and canned herring (which emulsified into the sauce.) He deglazed the pan with vermouth and added the tinned oysters with the cooked pasta...then heated through. It's a variation on a classic Italian dish that uses anchovies.

I, too, have kipper snacks, tinned herring, and sardines of various types (plain, spicy tomato sauce) in cans the size & shape of tomato paste cans. I get the sardines cheap in Asian markets.

Yes, flavoured and spiced variety, too!

Hubby loves evening snacking, and those canned sardine packs make for yummy eating.
