What's for supper?

We have barely been cooking anything, it is just way too hot for that, so it has been salads, sandwiches, or just some fruit or cold cereal for most meals here this week. The Ninja smoothie ice cream is pretty much a meal in itself, since it has cottage cheese, yogurt, fruit, chia seeds, and fruit in it; a good mix of several kinds of foods.

When I had gastric issues for nearly 6 weeks I was eating light, and now I don't really have a tolerance for large meals. I got that way when I went meatless for a period of time in my 30s...I found a way to be satiated without being bloated. That's why I made shrimp last night. The previous night's ribs just kinda sat there because I ate too much. I gotta exercise portion control, which would be a be skill for me.

I think maybe Cobb salad with some grilled chicken sliced on top. It's too hot to cook.
That does sound good ! We have some blue cheese dressing , and some chicken and a few fresh tomatoes from the garden. Maybe I will make that for after the swimming pool. I got the Marie’s Blue Cheese dressing, it has the most chunks of blue cheese except for when we get the blue cheese and I make it myself,

Bavarion potato salad, which I think is also known as "hot German potato salad." One of my late aunts always made hot German potato salad. I make the traditional cold potato salad.
There are as many Bavarian potatoe salads as there are Bavarian cooks:) Cool not cold potatoes, rendered bacon bits with onions, pickles, pickle juice, salt, pepper, vegetable oil when serving. Not my favorite but we have a two vote democracy when it comes to dinner.

Yep I can cook up a storm, cep'm this adds to the mystery of why I never found anyone to marry me :(. A funny thing. I cooked dinner for this guy once, a big Mexican dinner, and after sup, he said he wished his wife could cook as good as me...oooops....he ner' told me he was married lol! Tis many a slip twix'n fork and lip lol!! Needless to say, it ended up being his last supper with me, even though he et a belly full. Still calls me to this very day, in fact, I sent him this picture of what I cooked for dinner yesterdy. Brought him plum near to tears...hey, it's what I do best! :)

We have an appointment with our lawyer at 3:30 pm today so we'll probably pick up something on our way home. A Schlotzky's sandwich sounds pretty good to me.

Bobby needed to go to Home Depot today, so I asked if we could also stop at Sam’s Club, which is almost next door. We picked up a nice watermelon, and some hot dogs for this weekend, and some blue cheese, so I can have real chunks of it in my salads now.
Then, we stopped at the Mexican restaurant that is in the same plaza and had lunch, so that is our main meal for today.
