What's for supper?

I've been testing the limits of my gastric recovery (steak & cheese w/ fries for lunch yesterday, 2 fully loaded chili cheese dogs today), so dinner's a big bowl of salad with a grilled chicken thigh and a couple of dinner rolls. I was gonna make some honey mustard dressing but didn't have any low fat mayo on hand, so I went with a vinaigrette.
Have you considered yoghurt or sour cream instead of mayo?

You mean to make Honey Mustard Dressing with? It never occurred to me. I'm not sure how yoghurt would taste, but sour cream might be an interesting choice. I don't worry about the fat content if I'm spreading a little bit on a sandwich or throwing a tablespoon in a dish I'll get multiple servings from, but for something like a dressing where the mayo is the primary ingredient and I'm putting a quantity on the salad, I like to keep it reasonably healthy.

I always use REAL mayonnaise. To be specific, it also has to be Hellmann's Mayonnaise when I make Honey Mustard dressing, or any other type of dressings. Nothing else will do! 😊 🎶"Bring out the Hellmann’s and bring out the best!”🎶

You must be psycho, because I just went to Walmart and bought some Hellman's and had that stupid jingle running through my head...you little mind reader.

Instead of a mayo where I cannot interpret the ingredients I go with sour cream. Crème fresh if I have it. What comes out of a jar of low fat may reminds me of margarine.

The reason I make the compromise with low fat mayo is that for the most part, it's there for moisture and not flavor. I always use real butter, but somehow mayo is the red-headed stepchild of spreads in my household.
 
Last night’s chicken ended up with bacon corn bread, corn for SO and tomato/cucumber for me.

As he grilled two of those B17s the options are chicken salad including the first garden selenite/peppers or enchiladas with garden onions/peppers.
He went or better swam to a play date this morning so decisions are still out. There is always fish food:)
 
This is Dwayne, Marie's son. We have been having some leftovers from her organic garden. Turnups and collard greens. Today will be having BBQ chicken! Had some delicious meatloaf and biscuits and cornbread last night! ❤️

Nice to meet you, Beth. I'm glad to be here and hope to stay for a while. I travel for business and my company is actively trying to find me jobs in area. I work on security X-Ray equipment (like the kind at the airport)
Theresa and Cindy left a few days ago, she will be coming back when I have to leave.
