BBQ ribs, potato salad, baked beans.
This sounds like pot roast.It’s turned rather cool here , so I made a big pot of stew which we both love in the winter
I always use what’s called Gravy beef ( used to be called Shin of beef ) it’s very lean
I always partly pre cook / sorta stir fry ….in a tiny bit of oil ….onions / carrots / celery ….then brown the cubed ( by me ) meat before adding water
it’s where the flavourings come from
I’m going to pack some away soon for the freezer ….as I get up off the recliner and get into gear ….I made mashed potatoes with it last night
..may just have it on a bit of sourdough toast tonite ..hubby would eat it everyday …..it’s funny when I met him in 1986 …after allot of chatting he asked me if I could make a beef stew …..how romantic…..on our first date and he wants to know if I can make a stew
He’d tried during his almost 4 years being single ….by throwing all the ingredients together ….in a slow cooker but he said it was bland ….horrible
