What's for supper?

we finished off the banana pudding yesterday--- but I hear the leftover vanilla wafers calling my name...hold on .. be right there:)

Vanilla wafers always remind me of my grandma. When I was little and stayed with her, she'd let me have "cookies and coffee" for breakfast. It was Vanilla Wafers with a cup of milk that had a tablespoon of coffee in it.

Panic mode when I could not find the blade for the meat grinder. Well, a forgotten pack of discs has a blade. Ground a pork loin at chili meat grinder size. Found the blade. It clung to the once used can opener attachment. It will get rehomed. Too complicated to use. P38 does just fine for the few cans I use.

Beef/pork burgers with the works plus grilled onions/jalapenos, Bavarian potatoe salad. Last of the buns.

Homemade pizza - thin crust, sauce from last summer’s bounty, home smoked ham, grilled onions and peppers, mozzarella, pepper jack. One for dinner and one for the freezer.
We are having homemade pizza here too-- with a medium crust. I make my own sauce, as well. Years ago, when I was younger and more enthusiastic, I used to make a lot of small pizzas to put in the freezer. And--if I don't want to make a homemade pizza, I call and get a take-out Godfather's Pizza. It's good!🍕🍕

Double egg French toast with apricot jam.
Apricots are one of my favorite fruit, and we seldom see them in stores anymore. I remember back when we had an actual apricot tree and ate all we wanted back when I was a kid in Idaho.
Now, canned, dried, or the apricot jam is about as close as it gets, and i love both apricot jam and orange marmalade. You can probably even get fresh apricots at the Umatilla fruit stands ?
