What's for supper?

Chicken chowder or pizza. The decision is still out.

My permanent room mate asked for mashed horseradish potatoes, fish and green beans. No problem. My middle name is Slinky.

I have no idea. The Better Half and I are going to try adjusting our way of eating, which means more salads, soups, and sandwiches; less sweets and heavy meals. We just don't seem to eat much lately so we'll be trying to snack on healthy options.
Oh dear, you have finally reached that age of small appetite. I reached it about a year or so ago. I am still working on the healthy part. :sneaky:

Lone Star Taters

Already in the oven is my Texas Great Aunts way of baking potatoes. Two potatoes warmed to room temp, carelessly pierced by making reckless slashes with a knife in a 5 pattern on top and 3 slices each side. Then olive oiled and salted with course sea salt, all over. Then on a rack on a pan and in the oven for 1 1/2 hours @425.

Once removed from the oven, I will cut the spuds in half, then recklessly, without any regard for spacing or sizing, cut several grooves along the length of each spud half. Those grooves will be filled liberally with real local made butter, cheddar cheese, fine sliced green onions, a few sprinkles of minced garlic, then salted lightly, peppered, and light sprinkles of hot Spanish paprika. Then finally a few mini dollops of sour cream.

For dinner is stuffed bell peppers with ground beef..

Cream of mushroom soup, what a combo ;)
Welcome, @Janine Coral !
I think the name sounds familiar, were you here before ? There is an introductions thread in the Chit-chat section of the forum, where you can tell us a little about yourself.
We have a mix of older members from the first edition of the forum, and some new people ; so just make yourself at home, and join in any conversations that interest you.
