What do YOU want this forum to be?

This it somewhat OT Marie. Insurance will provide most medical and support devices your treatment requires. Wheel chair and walker have mileage and may not be safe anymore.

Marie this is true and thanks for the advice, will look into it and if not buy new ones online.
I do have a new walker that had large wheels for ground and gravel.

What about a section for weather and bad storms, like we had before. It had more than just what is our weather like today, but that was part of it. But we discussed hurricanes, blizzards, and any other weather disasters there.

I'll add some new topic areas this weekend; meanwhile, more suggestions are welcome.

I want to encourage you to invite friends, family members, and anyone you know who is 50 or older, and who you think might enjoy being a member of the Seniors Only Club. I know that it can be difficult, particularly given that I have done so, and yet none of my personal friends or family members have joined, and I can't even get my wife to log in to her account. Nevertheless, it doesn't hurt to try.

I'm thinking we need a topic for things like education and language. While most of us are probably not thinking of going back to school, this doesn't necessarily mean that education is no longer important, or that we. have nothing to say about the educational system, and there are always things to be said about language. I don't know that it needs to be in a category of its own, as I think it was in the last iteration of this forum, since that wasn't a heavily trafficked area, but I'd like to fit it in somewhere. Suggestions are welcome.

I had a look at the "Register" page for the forum, and I notice that there is no mention of the fact that one must be at least 50 years old to join. Also, it says 'You may use any name you choose' and nothing about first and last name.

I think it would make life a lot easier for admin if people understood when signing up that there is a naming convention. Plus there seems to be people joining who are not 'seniors,' even though the name of the forum is SENIORS ONLY. JMHO

I totally agree with this ! Having more members is great, but more important is that they understand this is a forum for seniors, and not just an open discussion forum. I am pretty sure that the first SOC said to use a first and last name when someone registered. Some didn’t, but it weeded out most of the spammers, who pretty much never read the instructions for membership.
