Sorry to hear you are dealing with new pain, @Don Alaska .
8 of the celebrants for my wife's surprise birthday party have gone home to Washington and San Diego. The 5 still here from Omaha are staying elsewhere but are supposed to move in here this afternoon. New pain of unknown etiology today.
Sorry about your husband, Mary. I didn't know he had been unwell and I hope he has an easy recovery. Sepsis is scary.Well, I drove down to feed and water the critters. Hubby is home from the hospital and has sepsis so is on a pic line for daily drip of anti biotics that we have to get at the hospital every day. This goes on for 6 weeks along with other doctor visits. Basically those are my activities every day for those weeks along with basic household chores. No wait. Today was our semi annual brunch with old friends at the Oasis. Sadly hubby would not go because he did not want to have the third degree by one of our friends.
You need some salt in your diet to keep the sodium/potassium pumps working in your cells.Cheated.
I avoid processed snacks and salt now, and barely add any salt when cooking much less after cooking.
But when I got groceries there was a deep-discount on red and green dyed tortilla chips. I bought 2 bags.
I take Rotel tomatoes (or fresh when I have 'em) and onions and add some canned chili no-beans and cheddar cheese. Heat and stir as a dip. Sparingly, it's pretty tasty.
And I found that taking a very small bowl and putting some of the chips in there can be quite a tasty snack. To my palette these are now sweet and salty and satisfying. No, still not great for you, but it sure takes the edge off any hunger!
"Everything in moderation." I eat whatever I want but in sensible quantities. (And I love chips with queso.)Cheated.

I hope your wife had a nice surprise birthday party. Maybe your new pain is from the stress of having a house full of people and partying too much. I know I am always achy and tired after any family or holiday get-togethers.
Could not find two loaves of ham/bagel everything bread yesterday or this morning. When I had a batch going this afternoon the missing ones peaked over the basket for bread in the freezer. Sending a text to neighbors![]()

Thank youMarie, here in Florida stores are full, for how long, not sure.
I loaded a whole bunch of firewood on the front porch yesterday getting ready for the chilly weather.
Today I replaced the water drain petcock on my air compressor, topped off the tires on my tractor and car (damn TPMS light came on again), and took the belly mower off of the tractor in case I need the tractor for the upcoming snow/tree removal.
I LOVED my grinny pigs. Looking for the perfect one now.Thank youI generally bake our bread. Friends and neighbors are my Guinea pigs so to say.
