No real happenings today. Just stuff.
I’ll probably get in a good hour or so workout and maybe even haul another load of things out to the side of the road that were saved for some imaginary uses but weren’t.

Just a note concerning something I believe to be thought worthy.

Went to the bank, Aldis, continued yard work; mowing, cutting brush at the farm. So much to do after halting stuff during drought.
Tomorrow I plan to take hubby to new Japanese restaurant I hear is fabulous. Hubby fights anything new.

Today I'm entertaining friends - ex GF from Arizona & her brother & sister-in-law from China. And their French Bulldog.

SO is on a play date. Harvest, a quick run through the house, continue beading his “strutting shirt” as I call it. Replacing my big desk and cutting down to one lap top, two IPads and two screens finally let it sink in that I will not return to work. Nobody wants my old desk!

Put out (3) 50 pound salt blocks that I had sitting in the front end loader since July 9. They were in the garage, so imagine my surprise when I got them out of the front loader and there was nearly a half inch of saltwater sweat underneath them.

I write that for the people who don’t live in high humidity areas to get a sense of what those of us who do have to put up with. Little wonder the weeds, the blackberry bushes and the elderberry bushes are growing out of control. It looks like the Amazon jungle where I live.

I thoroughly washed out the FEL, put the tractor away, ate cold pizza for breakfast, and I am done for the day until it’s time to feed the horses tonight. I will be watching whatever nature programs are on NBC then I will switch to Hallmark or discovery, whomever has the best options.

I watered patio plants and scurried back into the air conditioning. Our next door neighbors had a dump truck load of soil dumped on their driveway and I'm glad they will be shoveling that instead of me. It is miserable outside.

I have never heard of a French Bulldog (that I recall, anyway), so I went to the web:

French Bulldogs are smaller, weighing under 28 pounds and standing 11-13 inches tall, while English Bulldogs are larger, weighing 40-50 pounds and standing 14-15 inches tall. Both breeds share a friendly temperament but differ in energy levels, with French Bulldogs being more playful and English Bulldogs being calmer.

In 2021 Lady Gaga has two who were stolen while her dog walker was walking them and the thief(s) shot the dog walker in the process. Thankfully Gaga got the dogs back, unharmed.

I don't know what the day will hold for me. The day is gloriously bright, the roofers are working on the house and wife is out harvesting. She has a zoom meeting at one o'clock. I have nothing planned as usual.

It is a bit toasty out there. Harvested what had to be done to keep the plants from getting lazy. Laundry done, tonight’s dinner ready to go, tomorrow’s dinner ready to go, the usual house party. Now a leisurely hour in the cool hot tub with a glass of wine. Maybe the roadrunner will come by again?

Spent most of the day having hour long phone visits with all 3 of the girls. So enjoyable, better than any BD card.
Went to town store, bought very few items. Put on a pot of pinto beans, played with the dog, and do my word games. Its enough BD for me anyway
