What Are You Doing Today?

Good morning to all- so after feeding chickens and working on weeding the garden, moving clear plastic over the parts of garden I want to sun-sterilize for fall planting, I took myself and a fly rod down to a friend's pond to pester the fish there. Caught some fish, came home, getting ready for lunch- something smells GOOD coming from the kitchen, and then it will be nap time...

the cats are already working on their nap time. they are good nappers, they are...

you all be safe and keep well- Ed

My hubby said no more dogs or cats. I wanted another dog to take him for walks and barking at intruders but hubby is not walking. So I got a medium haired guinea pig to snuggle. We also found another barn cat that we are acclimating to the farm. Not exactly like our old barn cat which is a bit of a good thing since he would bite without warning. But still don't see evidence of catching mice. Still hope a perfect dog is in our future but....
Did a good bit of watering and weeding after chores this morning. will finish up this evening because the heat makes everything evaporate more quickly, I think.

Wimbledon men's championship game is on ABC at 3PM eastern. I'm not nearly into tennis as much as I used to be, but I still like watching. This is the 139th Wimbledon championship match. Alexander Zverev from Germany v Jannik Sinner from Italy.

The women's championship game yesterday was pretty good. Both players were Czechoslovakian. Went a full 3 sets. Lots of tiebreaks. The winner saved 5 match points before she (Linda Nosková) finally defeated Karolína Muchová (6-2, 5-7, 6-3)

I am hoping to at least to move out of my pajamas today into some regular clothes, maybe. I have been sick for a week. I have a bad sinus infection that kicked my butt good. I went to Urgent Care last Thursday, which was a waste of time. The NP or LPN told me to take Clairton, and if I didn’t feel better in 7-10 days I could go to the energy room. She asked if I read about calling 911 or going to the emergency room if I didn’t get better. Wait! What? Isn’t this walk in clinic supposed to be the place to go for help for these types of things? I told my husband, who was out in the lobby waiting on me, that I just paid $25 for her to tell me to take Clairton.

EDT: Emergency room, not energy room. But it might be nice to go to an energy room to get revitalized. :D
I would say you have a bad walk-in clinic @Krystal Shay. Try another if there is one nearby. It took me several visits to find a good walk-in clinic. Most of them are now staffed with poorly-trained PAs or sometimes NPs. I found one staffed by a PA who was military-trained, served several tours in the Middle East and he is great!

This clinic is about 7 years old. It seems the non-profit put up a new clinic of some kind every year on a different corner and towns. I had been to this clinic before in the past, and the help was fine then. I know they are trying to cut back on antibiotic distribution but, still! I got the feeling these girls didn’t know what they were doing. I go see my primary on Wednesday.
