What Are You Doing Today?

SO had two good days! A buckle! I sure hope so. He packed the whole strutting regalia for tonight’s awards. If he does not place I have a cardboard bucket covered with foil and “my #1” for the trophy case. Got to be a bit goofy from time to time.

Made an old fashioned cheese ball. SO will eat it like real food. I freeze in cup size canning jars with screw tops. Perfect with pretzel balls.

We went to an art festival today. Not a "fine arts" festival, to be sure, but there were some lovely things along with some stuff I'd say leans towards "crafts".

There were also the usual roofing, bathroom refitting, insurance and other commercial concerns that I don't think have a place at an "arts" festival but I guess when you have to struggle to pay the expenses, you'll take entry fees from anyone.

We were there when it opened at 9 and it was already HOT.

Lots of dogs, which I consider a form of animal abuse as i saw some who were visibly uncomfortable. More dogs in strollers than babies in strollers. One lady had a chihuahua in her arms that she was struggling to contain. It was literally screaming at the other dogs. She said she was trying to socialize the dog. Lady, a hot crowded art festival ain't the right place to start that.....

Anyway, I saw lots of stuff I wanted and nothing I needed.

It was chilly this morning, but has really warmed up now. I designated today for working in the kitchen day. I decided to look at the freezer again and see if I could not find room to put the Ninja Creami containers, and was happily surprised to see that they will actually fit on one of the shelves in the freezer door, so I cleaned it out and made room for the containers.

I have been re-homing some of the old small appliances that I will not need now that we have the Ninja Foodi. One is a Gourmia Multicooker that my daughter gave me several years ago, and it was expensive when it was new. It is really too large for just the two of us, and I seldom even used it. It needs a family to make food for.
The neighbor across the street brought his grandson over to look, and he said it would be perfect for them, and he was really happy to take it off our hands.
He loved the multi-cooker functions !

The little electric soup kettle is pretty simple, just a dial setting, so it can go to the people next door. They are Hispanic and she can’t even speak English, so one with computerized controls would have been WAY beyond her abilities, but the soup pot should be fine, and she has a whole family to cook for.

Next, I got out the Ninja Creami and set it up on the counter again, and I am going to make some ice cream mixes and put them in the freezer so we can have ice cream tomorrow.
We have been missing having the healthy ice cream !

Then, I started some yogurt in the yogurt maker, and am now making my first bath of brown rice in the new Ninja Foodi.

I got up early, worked online for a couple of hours, then went outdoors to rake leaves, pick maple seeds out of my garden beds, mulch them, and add them in two layers to my compost pile, with some shredded cardboard and coffee grounds sprinkled in between. A few years ago, I would have considered this task to be time-consuming but not strenuous.; however, I am tired and sore.

We’ve not long got up ,just having a cuppa ,playing a few games .

I want to go out and post a parcel to my friend , then hubs is going to get the trailer on and go out and go get a sheet of 3/4 inch rigid mesh to put in the top structure of the shed it’s called a gara port it’s the same length as the shed ( same structure as shed only without walls )
It’s where we stored our caravan prior to selling it

Birds are sitting up in the top structure and pooping over everything so he going to fill in the open part of steel beams with a strips of mesh

I’ve got to tidy my sewing room after doing more footy team machine embroidery for my friends (son) it’s more putting stuff away than anything
