What Are You Doing Today?

We are having horrible rains this week. This morning on the way to the barn saw all the creeks overflowed their banks. I think all the frogs were probably flushed from my pond into our creek. :eek: Even my barn floor is soggy. Lots of lightning tonight and tornados all around Wisconsin. Told daughter to call when she gets home from work tonight. Earlier it seemed pleasantly warm but humid. I went to check out the spring plants at Menards this morning. Did not make it to Fleet Farm but got some things I wanted from Aldi.
So much lightning and thunder I would think hail would be coming.

@Ed Wilson did you get to go fishing yesterday?

@Faye Fox did you mow yesterday? It’s a lonnng story but simply put, after husband passed two years ago just about everything broke, including the front axle on my 4110. I had to hire a lawn service to cut four very rough country acres. They cut me a huge price break. I decided to let them keep mowing. The humidity about kills me and they can cut in one hour what it takes me four hours. Plus my tractor still isn’t 100%, so I only use it other stuff, because I have to keep checking the axle fluid and the hydraulic fluid.

Today, the replacement pest control people were here. Firing the old company last year was yet another story 🔥 Today they sprayed and checked the mouse stations under the house. Termite stations will be their next visit. Since living in the SE, I have always had termite control if I don’t want the house carried away.

The Hallmark Mystery channel is playing Remington Steele. I loved that show, so I am watching the reruns and don’t remember any thing😂😂

I went but caught nothing but the day was nice. I annoyed a turtle who just wanted to bask in the sun on a log.. Water is still cold. Things pick up in the middle of May.
 
SO went to the vet with me. No hip replacement but a torn tendon. MRI, …. . At least the PA is handsome to say the least and has a sense of humor as dry as baby powder.

What’s the follow-up for your dog?
 
Another exciting day. I had to go to UPS, then stopped by a Lowe's garden center on my way home. The place was jammed but I managed to buy some lantana, garden gloves and a large clay pot.

Came home and washed my car. It's love-bug season in Houston and those things make a real mess of the grill and windshield. Pretty sure @Jake Smith , @Marie Mallory , and @Hoot Crawford are very familiar with love-bug season since it's a thing all along the Gulf coast.

I repotted a couple of things, did some watering, and picked cucumbers. Now I'm drying a load of clothes and have my feet up.
