I've never watched an NFL game, but I used to watch some of the half-time stuff; I quit doing that several years ago, too.

When I hear "Bad Bunny," I think of ice cream recalls. I've not watched NFL in a long time (way before the kneelers), but I like college ball. I find it interesting(?) that one huge topic of conversation surrounding the game is the commercials. Consumerism consumes our lives.
Budweiser has advertised on the Super Bowl since the first one, I think.Budweiser Super Bowl Commercial 2026. Gotta love those Clydesdales.
I spent most of my live outside of DC and have been to many Redskin games, including playoffs when they went to the Super Bowl. Those parties are always fun (and mandatory) when your home team is playing. Interestingly, I had a friend who was born & raised in Virginia, and she was a die-hard Seahawks fan. I never asked her why. She probably had Largent FeverIt was a great game, heavy on the defense, but in the end the Seahawks won. Go Seahawks! I was on the phone several times with my Seattle family, who were having a party. Wish I had been there....it sounded raucous.
I just read that California has a Jock Tax. The state taxes non-resident professional athletes a percentage of their total annual salary based on the number of work days they spend in California. Per this terrible math, their quarterback received $178,000 for winning the Super Bowl but owes California an estimated $249,000 in income tax based on his total annual income...and he don't even live there.

I was thinking that if I owned a team, I would never have them play in such a state. Folks on another forum say that Washington state is in the process of passing similar legislation.Stupid tax, but I have a hard time feeling bad for millionaire professional athletes. Maybe the NFL will have to pull out of CA.
The kneeling should have been undone by the owners. They lost a lot of viewers and money after that and adding wokeness definitely did not help. Even Roseanne wasn't as bad. I don't think she was making fun of the game I think she knew her limits as a singer and was making fun of herself.I never watch football at all so I couldn't care less. My gripe is with the NFL and their "Forever Woke" bullshit. I think they should have high school marching bands at halftime instead of half-dressed rappers, but I guess I'm not their target audience.
For the past few years since The Kneeling my hubby has only watched college games, but this year he watched the NFL playoffs when it looked like the Texans might win. I don't know if he will watch the Superbowl or not, but I can say with certainty he will not watch "Bad Bunny."
I read it was a tie???
