The night my wife and family left us South Carolina, I was having stomach issues my lower intestine had some pain so I took an Imodium.
After they left the first thing I did was block the staircase to prevent my daughter's dog Penny from going upstairs, not an easy climb for me. I let Penny and my dog Tia roam free downstairs, and I went back to bed. For the next 3 hours they got me out of bed every half hour by barking. I decided then to stay up have breakfast my stomach was feeling better, however I was really tired from being up most of the night. We have a third dog Twinkle,

who sleeps in the dog crate at night, I let her free. I decided to become a couch potato because I was tired, actually it's the favorite chair potato.
The dogs are sleeping on the dog bed, I was starting to zone out on my favorite chair, when the dog start barking and I hear a rustling at the front door, it was my son-in-law letting himself in. No rest for me. I spent the next 6 hours listening him talking about, his jobs, vacations, baseball card collection, his walking (he doesn't drive), all the while envisioning putting my head on my pillow and getting some sleep. I broke the conversation by taking him out to eat. When we got back I immediately put the TV on. He left about a half hour later.
last night Tia slept in the bedroom with me, Penny wanted to stay outside. I got about 3 hours sleep when Tia was crying to go spend some time with Penny. they were quiet most of the night until normal waking hours.
I got Twinkle out of her cage, and let the three of them outside to do their business.
I felt hot I thought maybe the heat was too high I was still tired and achy. Checking my temperature I was at 101°, I took two Advil and I brought the temperature down to 99°. My wife text me this morning that they still had another 5 hours to get to where they wanted to be in South Carolina. Not to worry her I said nothing about having a fever and not feeling good. I'm hoping this is just a stomach virus or a flu and will be gone in a day.
I'm hoping the dogs behave so I can get some sleep in this afternoon.
I should learn never the plan things in my head because there's always something disruptive.
