What I found most disturbing was that many if not most of the churches in the U.S. essentially cancelled Easter for probably the first time in the history of Christianity. The U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops claimed it was done during the Black Death period, but from what I have read, that was also a lie to add to the many told during the Covid period. Church attendance improved according to the history I read since the European population believed that the plague had been inflicted up them by God as a punishment for bad behavior and sin.
