The Dems are now saying "Vance is worse than Trump", but they said the same thing about DeSantis when they thought he was going to be the nominee. I think Vance may be smarter than Trump, but, like you said, he doesn't have the same charisma and I don't believe he has the energy and long-term planning ability that Trump has. Vance may be able to develop that over the next few years though.

Yeh, there are always those things that one hopes are "subordinate to" rather than "because of." I've seen comments that Trump only did this to build his legacy.

I honestly don't know. Lots or Reverse Rationalization and Observer Bias these days. I'm sometimes guilty of it. One tries to be aware of it, but I don't know if any of us are ever pure.

The open border had nothing to do with Trump. It had to do with destroying America. Trump is really only a problem because he is in their way as they march to destroy the country. He has even said that himself. TDS is just a thing because Trump is 1) independently wealthy and isn't controlled by the donor class and 2) has a plan to thwart the money-laundering that has enriched so many Democrat politicians. Omar's net worth rose from $56,000 to $30 million in just one year. Warren Buffet would be envious of such a return on investment as it is impossible to do legally.
 
Although I wish we'd mind our own business and not go to war with countries that haven't attacked us - and would not be surprised to learn that the attack on our Bahrain base was a false flag, once we go to war, I wouldn't root for the enemy, like the Democrats do.

I was looking for reports of Iranians around the world celebrating the death of the ayatollah, similar to the celebrations from Venezuelan people when Maduro was taken out. The MSM was only reporting on a few dumbass liberals carrying signs against Iran, because that's what they do.

I remember Iran under the Shah, although I was never there. I had a friend who was stationed there with the CIA, and some of the tales he told were kinda shocking, although many of them were about our diplomatic corps as much as with the Iranians. He told stories of the beautiful beaches on the Caspian Sea and how many Iranians vacationed there and the bikini-clad ladies. He escaped the embassy a few weeks before the fall of the Shah and managed to escape Pakistan before the embassy there was blown up. I met up with him (he was a high school friend) in Taiwan and I spent a few days with him and saw the antennae he managed when spying on China.
