I use self check-out and modern style grocery stores are not a deal breaker. Over the top data collection/surveillance and dynamic pricing are not something I tolerate. No more grocery shopping at Walmart. Fry's Foods is a nice grocery store with a more classic style as a bonus.

Plus….the folks who do not need the handicapped riding carts but race around the store on them for fun.
And…the folks who do need the handicapped riding carts deciding that the middle of the aisle is a good place to park the derned thing whilst talking on their cell phone.

Oh, and let’s not forget that Boomers are just as guilty as the young’uns when it comes to needing a cell-phone-ectomy before walking into a store or especially before getting into the check out line. I got trapped between two women one time and each of them was on full bore yak-yak mode on their phones all the way up to the cashier. I seriously wanted to yell out a resounding rendition of “When the role is called up yonder I’ll be there” in the middle of their conversations just to mess with their heads. I didn’t.

So far as the rest of the list, I’m not a good shopper so most of it doesn’t apply to me. Maybe Yvonne, but not me.
I dislike crowds, I haven’t been able to afford a good Porterhouse or Ribeye for eons it seems and although it may be psychological on my part but no matter what store I go to, the restroom had best be close by and not the full length of a football field away.
Note: Most grocery stores only have one men’s room whilst Home Depot and Lowe’s have 2. Just another reason why most guys like the latter two more.

Walmart is the only grocery we got because Dillons (Kroger everywhere else) are the only grocery stores. Dillon's is awful herze.
Only real issues we have are not enough checkers, plus they do not know who to bag grocery items.
Walmart has rebranded their store with items no one ever heard of,some are good, some so-so.
However we have been lucky to getting helpful and friendly employees where we are at.
I do wish businesses would have employees clean up some.

My Publix here in Central Florida is a fairly new store, with no self check out, And items 2>10 are not issues either. Nor have I ever had a problem with folks using cell phones or not being mindful of their carts. I do go to Walmart occasionally for cleaning supplies, etc, and almost always use the self check out. As for the other items, they don't rise to the level of elevating my blood pressure. The kids using the disabled people carts is an occasional issue, but the bigger issue is that a "super center" only has 4 or 5 of them. they should have at least a dozen. (And if my math is wrong, and the do indeed have a dozen then they need 2 dozen..)

Most of the time now I order groceries online for curbside pickup, so I never even get out of my car. I do enjoy an occasional trip to HEB, Aldi or Walmart to just wander around to see what's new.

I had more issues with grocery stores back when I was working and had to shop after work or on weekends. Ugh, that was a hassle.
