Shopping--What did you buy?

I felt kind of bad but it took a bit to deal with tools and parts. This morning they were both out and glared at us. No nod or raised hand. Truck still sitting there. We have appointments which require two vehicles 2-3 times a week.
The entitlement some people have for the belongings of others (or in life in general) is insane.

I find 2 things have changed the older I get:

1-I'm more patient with those who deserve it.
2-I'm more blunt with those who deserve it.

I have all the time in the world for someone who needs help, and no time at all for someone who just needs.

May I borrow your last line please?

I went to ACE and returned the grass cutter that doesn't work, and I went into the Closeout area they have.

I bought two magnetic pickups that are bendable to reach stuff that's fallen around corners and in awkward spots:

I also bought a carpenter's pencil holder with a retractile cord that clips on your belt. It solves the problem of laying the thing down "somewhere" or shoving it in one of your pockets:

Not yard sale prices but better than half price, and under $20.

I use those thin plastic cutting boards as well. I've been thinking of getting one of those metal ones that's supposed to be anti-bacterial, but haven't researched what they'll do to my knife edges.

Will you please post about your research? I am not looking for a steel cutting board but an easily moveable work surface I can dump in the garage sink. My 2 1/2 x 2 maple board is heavy and was not purchased for this kitchen.

I ordered a power outlet for in the kitchen . It has space for 5 power cords, plus 4 connections for usb charging, and it even has a nightlight built in.
We always have several items that we want plugged in along the kitchen counter, but we are not using them all at once, we just want to have them ready to use when we need to use them. This should work great because it has room for more outlets, plus connections for anything that charges with a usb cord.
Amazon had it on sale for about 1/3 off, so I ordered one, and Bobby will change it out when it arrives.

I wandered around in Hobby Lobby again today, but this time I was alone so I could move as fast or slow as I wanted. I bought a bunch of Christmas gift bags, tissue paper, small decorations and ribbons to go on them since all of it is on sale for 50% off. Seems like we run out of wrapping stuff at Christmas time so this should prevent last-minute runs to the Dollar Store for supplies.
