OMG, OMG, OMG! Yes!

My mom was the prn queen back in the 60's/70's. Everyone in the family came to our house for a home-perm, and talk about stink! For days upon days on end!

Between the powerful perm odour and cigarette smoke, it was enough to make you heave! The strong ammonia odour burned at your nose and eyes continually for days after.

How I remember the special Sunday night suppers my mom used to put on. Lots of times we had little money, so nothing fancy, but when mom could put a roast or chicken in the oven, what Sunday's those were.

The house filled with mouth-watering delight, all of us sitting down at the table as a family, enjoying the food, conversation, laughs. I wish I could revisit that time.
