Saving Money for the American Taxpayer

Am I alone in growing weary of hearing about all the money that our government has been saving for the American taxpayer when we don't see a dime of it? Somewhat related, I'm listening to Trump brag about how much oil we have, and how we don't need the Strait of Hormuz for our oil supply, yet, at the same time, we can expect oil prices to rise dramatically if it's closed. The truth seems to be that our government is saving money to be spent elsewhere, and oil prices can be expected to go up on the remotest of excuses.

Oil prices are global, a bit like gold. It is the global amount and price, not the supply in any given nation that matters. As is now being done, there is a global shortage but we have an ample supply, so those who own the oil are selling it where they can get the most for it just as most people would do if they had a commodity in demand.

Oil reserves need to be rebuilt. You are not in O&G country. The jobs are coming back. The real ones.
It always get worse before it gets better. We are prepared to pay our share.

Then perhaps Trump should stop bragging about how much oil we produce, and how we don't need foreign oil. If this offers no advantage to the American people, then who is the "we" he's referring to? This brings me back to my original point, which is that if everything he is doing doesn't benefit the American people, then why should we applaud?

If you check, we still have terrible drains of our tax money via fraud and graft. Trump tried to fix this with Musk and the Dems in congress fought him.
Even if they shut off the spigot in the next 30 days (a plan in the works requiring proof of how government contract money is being spent), what is lost is lost and probably a lot of money will be spent on appeals. So much still needs to be fixed and is costly till accomplished, like removing illegals and their feebies, the cost of their being sent back and in prison on our dime. MILLIONS of people.
We need to back track a bit.

Latest example was Omar's wealth increase from $50,000 to $30 million net worth over the space of one year. Professional investors are envious of such gains. I am sure that there is graft in Red areas as well, but by far the majority is in Blue districts, cities, and states. Just defunding USAID removed the money stream from many Democrat causes.

I've found out that Canada is far from the only slacker paying in their share for NATO all these years. Few of the countries ever forked over their 2% dues until rates were recently increased to 5% of GDP - which they aren't paying either after it rose.

Maybe we should be using that military machine to "repossess" territory forcefully until they pay back dues with interest? Might be one way to replenish the SS Trust Fund, eh?

My favorite "savings" is when a proposed bill increases spending by $50 Billion, then the increase gets reduced to $40 Billion. "We saved Americans $10 Billion!!!!!"

I have heard it said to be the biggest corrupt use of money in the history of the nation. I can't imagine the number of people Newsom paid off with this project alone. The hospice issue might yet be shown to be worse.
