Yes, Beth, this past year she began declining and even moved into an Assisted Living. But, as you know, she was always upbeat and kept active with us. I reminded Yvonne when this forum started up again to let her know, and she did sign up. Everyone is totally upset at this loss. I do believe her last activity was last Wednesday or Thursday, that I recall. She must have been failing badly after that time.

By the way, I had a very bad fall again this morning. As per usual, I was in a hurry to get to my closet and decide what to wear today as our temps were going to fly up to the 80 degree levels. However, I did a quick turn to open a couple of windows and, you guessed it. Took a nose dive. Must have hit every piece of furniture in my path and may have fractured a couple of ribs and or discs. My doctor got here ASAP and gave me hell for even taking one step without my walker. She went over me with a fine tooth comb. Several external bruises and she feels many internal.

The x-ray tech finally got here and took umpteen pictures. My pain level is a 10, so I finally gave in and let them give me Vicodin. Hasn't done much, but I refuse to take anything stronger. That stuff has a terrible effect on me. Usually, I suffer a respiratory crisis, so no thank you.

I'll keep you updated.

Most of you remember LuLu Moppet from old SOC, and from SF . She is back in the hospital again for at least the third time, and has terrible infection in her leg.
The treatment she has been receiving seems not to have helped much, so I wanted to ask for prayers for her here, or good wishes or anything you feel is helpful.

She was supposed to have that circulatory bypass today, Yvonne. Have you heard how that turned out?

Good heavens, Lois. I'm so sorry to hear this and I hope nothing is broken. Bless you, you'll probably be very sore tomorrow. Sending you a gentle hug and I hope you can rest tonight. ❤️

It looks like that has not happened, and now she is saying they want to put her in a nursing home and maybe amputate the infected leg. I am waiting for her to elaborate more, but none of her options seem very good at this time, @Lois E. Winters .

I agree, Yvonne. Knowing her, going into another nursing home will not go over well, for sure. There's been no word so far.

Lois I'm so sorry to hear this, and I have much sympathy for you just knowing how much everyday pain can be so bad in many ways, it's now going on 4 months for me and thats just something as simple as doing an exercise.
I'm still on a walker most of the time.I can imagine how bad a fall would be.
 
Was Ruby …the same lady on another forum called Radish rose .? She was a nice lady I’d met her when I joined that other one in 2014
She has just passed as well , she had dear little dog

Sorry to hear you had a fall Lois …. take care ..🤗🤗I worked with assisting older people and those with disabilities for 25 years and it was drummed into my head about loose mats / power cords as they can and do cause people to fall …..and you know what now I’m 80 ….I'm still very strict around my own home about loose mats ….and my hubby always makes sure there are no cords to trip on
