Roll Call

Most of you remember LuLu Moppet from old SOC, and from SF . She is back in the hospital again for at least the third time, and has terrible infection in her leg.
The treatment she has been receiving seems not to have helped much, so I wanted to ask for prayers for her here, or good wishes or anything you feel is helpful.
She had the Little LuLu avatar before.

Sorry to hear this, Yvonne. "Lulu" and I used to trade barbs about politics but she was a real cheerleader when I was having chemo. Lulu is also a cancer survivor. I believe people on SF know her as "Pepper."

I'm sorry to hear this.

@John Brunner mentioned Hoot Crawford and Tex Dennis in another thread. I hope they find us again if they are able.
Last I heard, over a year ago, Tex was dealing with some health issues. One of my Texas cousins used to go on some of those rides his group sponsored. I haven't heard from her lately either. Anyone heard from the guy that was a chopper specialist in Vietnam? I can't remember his name, maybe Thomas. I know his health was bad.

Last I heard, Denise moved to southwest Oregon.

I hate to hear that Tex might be having health issues. Thomas disappeared several months before the old forum went down; we were concerned about him so hopefully he's OK.

Thanks for caring, y'all. I'm OK. Or, as one of my elderly black gentleman patrons used to say, "I'm maintaining". :)

I saw my vascular doctor recently. He thought one of my blood pressure meds could be causing my legs to swell more. He changed it to another med. It takes 3 to 6 weeks for that one to be fully effective. I'm hoping that I can stop the leg elevation soon. My legs do seem to be not swelling as badly.

Speaking about seeing a doctor; he wanted to see me back in 3 months. The first appointment he had open at the main office was late JULY! He had one open in a satellite office in June. I took that one. He is a well-respected doctor but JULY? We need more doctors or less sick people. ;)

Good to see you @Shirley Martin hope the new BP meds are better for you ,think I’ve tried just about every BP med on the market ,some of them most certainly have nasty side effects ….I see my cardiologist once a year ..if I don’t make an appointment for the next year while there
I can’t get in , I’ve been quite well on the ones he prescribed when I first seen him about 5 years ago

Same with my GP I don’t really need to see him every 3 months , bus as soon as I get out from seeing him I make another appointment for 3 months time ….. or I simply would have to wait at least 6 months to get in ( I just cancel the appointment if I feel,I don’t need to see him 3 monthly)
I always wonder how they can can manage to fit a patient in after the dr says …oh come back in a week or two to get results of tests
or emergency calls to new patients like my hubs …when he had a afib attack …I phoned our GP ….and he contacted the Cardiologist
who phoned my hubs within an hour of the attack ….and asked hubs to email him the Apple Watches recording of the attack ….
