We used to wake each morning with excitement and anticipation over the arrival of the Sear Christmas Wish Book!

That book was paged through like no other, all of us gathered around the TV room coffee table pointing at everything we wanted Santa to bring us!

I miss the days of bonfires, especially occasions such as Halloween night. We had them all the time as kids.

We had them for Guy Fawkes night on the 5th Nov. Unless operated by professionals fireworks are now banned in Australia. There were some terrible injuries from fireworks.

Coloured Toilet Paper!

A great aunt of mine had this in her bathroom! I remember how the colour used to come off!

Oh yes, and I remember as a child, how the garbage men would ride on the back of the trucks and once stopped, the garbage men would toss the lids on the ground, then grab hold of the galvanized garbage cans and dump them into the back of the garbage truck, plunk the garbage cans back down again, and slap on the lids!

Everyone's garbage cans had dents in them!
