Katey, I had the worst experience with my new iron.

Worked great when I first got it, then it started leaving tiny little red rust spots on light coloured clothing. I did a repeated, fill with white vinegar and water, heat, then shake and pour out routine with it.

So far so good, and according to reviews I have read, others have had the same experience.
