I've never made yogurt, but should learn how. I get kidney stones and should have 3 servings of dairy per day to remediate any oxalate in my system. I doubt that I get much more than 1 serving. I hate milk. I always have, even as a kid. I am weaned. There is no reason for me to consume milk. Anyway...I have done that too. I like thick yogurt. I have also made my own greek yogurt the old fashion way. I am lazy now though,even though it isn't hard to do.
The calcium in my glass of kefir counts for a little more than a single serving of (*shudders*) cow juice.
