Yay, America. Not only do we have processed food of marginal quality, we cram more of it into our mouths faster than anyone else.
Your guess of 36 hot dogs was pretty close, Hedi. The female winner of this year's Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest (appropriately held on the 4th of July) was Miki Sudo, the featherweight daughter of a European mother and a Japanese father. She ate 38.75 hot dogs in that contest. Her record is 51 hot dogs. She has been #1 every year going back to 2014, excluding the year she skipped (2021) when she was pregnant.
Her Wiki page is a long list of other eating contests she has competed in (coming in 1st in several, including a Kimchi eating contest.)
