Name a chore you did when you were little that kids nowadays have never done...

My Mum used to do that as well but I don't know the name of it. I would say it was full of nasty, artificial stuff. Frowned upon now because the egg in the mix isn't cooked. On this one I just shake my head.

Oh yes, a page right out of my own childhood!

Cookie batter and whipped cream, always the job of us kids to lick the beaters afterwards!

I still hang laundry on a clothesline summer time .

Oh yes, Jacqueline, me, too!!!

Here is a page straight out of the past when my kids were babies/little! Taken in the early 90's!

Diapers and rubber pants on the clothesline! I remember this from babysitting, too! All the moms I babysat for used cloth diapers, and all home-laundered their diapers and hung them to dry on the clothesline!

And... my baby brother was still in diapers in 1977, so this was the sight at our house, too, and across town an aunt of mine was doing the same!

Changed my baby siblings baby cribs using flannelette and rubber crib sheets! Did the same when I babysat, too, for neighbourhood moms!

Did you have a bank account through your school Madge? In primary school you would take your bank book and a couple of shillings to school and the bank representative would stamp the bank book and take the money.

I did, Milly, but never heard of such a thing related to taking one's bank book to school for a payment or anything.

I do remember pretty much emptying out my bank book one year to buy a bike. It was such a bitter-sweet moment for me, I wanted the bike so bad, but was heartbroken to see all of my money gone.
