"Marie", has a new primary care "Doctor" now

Jake,
This is horrible, I'm at a loss for words, if I may, Marie is a good 🧡 friend. There's no words for how gut wrenching this news is. Please take care of yourself and make Marie as comfortable as possible.

I'll be thinking and I'm praying for the both of you.

Tony

Thank you; Tony for kind words and I understand the loss of words, I'm doing all I can to make her as pain free, and comfortable as possible.

Now that "you" all know the diagnosis of her pet scan; I will update my mental problems; by going through this tragedy. Got really mad at GOD, at first, then realized; it's a mistake to do that; so I have been praying "really" hard, and begging him to guide us thru this tragedy, it's a lot to deal with to say the least. I always tell him, I know I'm not worthy, of his grace; but please guide me to do the right things, and to speak only his words, and do what he wants me too, and to be a better person.

About seven months now I've watched what a strong woman Marie is, taking pure devastating pain complaining less than anyone I know. Just the two nights ago, again at ER her BP was 225/195 - 125 pulse, which is usually "pulse" 68 or so; from pure pain, the Doc said the pain is causing it again, until low dose morphine brought it down some, then she took some Tylenol after discharge, because of her weight she can't have much medicines at once. Also their are some folks who are as cold hearted to her as I've ever saw anyone be. Who does that? I'm not going to mention names to y'all don't know these folks; but Marie tells me you have to forgive these people and tries to calm me; while I'm feel so angry it feels like my head is going to explode. Another reason for the serious prayers over and over begging. They say he won't put more on us than we can stand but sometimes I feel I will blow, and I am sure placed in the wrong time and place, with them pushing buttons; I will explode.

Hit us; like a ton of "bricks".
Jake, I have been there with what SO brought home from the big sand box. He went with me when I wanted to have a mole removed. Tiny silver blonde doc told me to get the … out of the chair because he is the patient.
You can do it. Please keep a written log of medications. We taped a sheet of paper to the bathroom mirror. Do not forget to eat. Take some porch time. Huggs!!!

Update on Marie; she woke me at 5 am, in severe pain asked me to get her a med. ER had changed her med from the morphine, and said that morphine is what's causing the dry mouth problems, and swallowing, so he prescribed dilaudid, instead. He told me to tell her pain clinic to change he to that, and he will be prescribing enough to get her through, until the next appt. , this stuff is so hard to watch your loved one go through.

She's one tough "lady", going through hell since November 15th. It's really wearing her down, barely will eat now; even though i'm pushing food at her and she says; I just want to get this over, she's so tired of it, it's so sad; feels like someone is literally ripping my heart out.

I wish I could make this all better, Jake. I've been though it. I lived with my father as he passed away from pancreatic cancer, and saw my mother pass from dementia when she just shut down after she cracked a vertebrae and was medicated with oral morphine. There are no words.

Jake, I hope that you and Marie know that we are thinking of you and sending hopes and prayers that you both will find some comfort. We realize that y'all are stressed and overloaded with mental and physical pain. I'm sure that participating in the forum is the least of your worries right now, but we appreciate you keeping us updated because we do care.

The very hardest part of watching a loved one suffer is that you want their pain to be over, but you aren't ready to let them go. It's a terrible time for both of you.

Jake,

I don't know what to say, the only word I can think of is love. Myself and many others on SOC send you, and Marie our sincere love. ❤️

I feel the pain in your writing that the two of you are experiencing, the only thing I can do is pray that Marie will be cradled by God to get some relief and comfort.

I feel so helpless,
Tony

My daughter in law took Dilaudid and Fentanyl. Actually, Fentanyl is the drug of choice for those of us who have issues with Morphine. When I told the doctor I was allergic to Morphine, when I was in such awful pain from a gall bladder attack, they gave me the Fentanyl, which did not touch me. They have a real problem with me when it comes to meds or even anesthesia. I woke up in the middle of surgery when adhesions were being removed from my colon.

I do hope the Dilaudid works for Marie, Jake. You might mention Fentanyl if it doesn't or if all gets much worse.

Update while looking online we saw a video about Hifu, and it says they do outpatient non invasive treatment for all kinds of cancer and even bone cancer for terminally ill too. They say that it's 20 to 25 mins and it burns nerve endings causing the pain and kills cancer cells, but not good cells, video showed and older woman in video about Marie's age walking around and she said she's got some of her life back and goes for walks each day now and without the terrible pain the bone cancer was causing her, It also says they do prostate and it doesn't hurt prostate but kills cancer keeps the good cells. I thought about @Tony Page and @Cody Fousnough , y'all might check it out too.

So this morning I went around and around with Cancer Drs. because after calling UF about Hifu, they told me she needs a referral from cancer Dr., before seeing her. Spent hours convincing them how Marie doesn't do good with meds, which does not even work half the time for her, been with her 47 years and has me at my wits end watching her suffer pain for 7 months now. Told them if they kill nerve endings and cut pain some she will not have to keep eating all the Tylenol, delaudid, xannex etc, and maybe she could have a little quality of life in her last days. Anyway a lot more was said before it was over and she finally said I understand darling and I just have to figure how to send the referral to them and ok it with her Dr, will call you back the later today and let you know it's done.
