Lake Ontario is has been changed to Lake America

Ain’t it great that someone uses executive privilege to change the indigenous name of a lake becasue the neighbor to the north isn’t playing correctly in thy sandbox………….

I could say more but I won’t….except I would be happy to go back to the days of Jim Trafficant and Buford Pusser……….

Good morning to all-
Look, Friends, the imperial dictates of the First Felon- renaming bodies of water to suit his taste- are just part of his effort to distract attention from the important and very, very destructive and harmful things he is doing to more annoying but less important things.
When we're hollering about his name changes, we're not paying attention to his effort in the Middle East and especially his war with Iran- where, by the way, he is being out maneuvered on every possible point.

This vile old man makes very bad decisions, listens to very bad advice from very bad advisors, and he cares nothing at all about how REAL people are suffering under his rule.

The one thing that must be granted to the First Felon is that he is very, very consistent. Consistently wrong.

you all be safe and keep well- and confusion to the republicans
Ed

This is one of his sillier moves, and... I hate to say it, but I agree with @Ed Delabama when he says that it's probably intended to distract us from something else. On the other hand, there have been other things he's said or done that seemed pointless to me, but which turned out to be useful. I do like that he seems to be on our side, unlike several other recent presidents, from both political parties. Nevertheless, despite the occasional silliness, we're much better off than we'd be with Kamala. One thing about Republicans, in general, or those of us who generally vote Republican, is that we don't simply go along with whatever our elected officials say or do,

We dodged a bullet with Kamala, as any reasonable person knows. Of course wild-eyed, name-calling liberals are not reasonable, so there's that.

I agree with most of Trump's policies and I certainly want 'America first', but this kind of stunt is dangerous so close to the midterms. People want to see positive things, not absurd wastes of time and money. Just think of all the government documentation, maps, etc. that will be affected by this stupid stunt.

Personally I am glad that Trump's term is halfway over; it's time for a reasonable, sensible person to be president.

I think this may be where some of the frustration is. I mean seriously, how can they ignore it was a terrorist attack?
Plus just keep in mind, Trump is STILL trying for a third term, just being quiet about it. He will do anything to get what he wants- including rewriting the constitution- if it benefits him.

I don't believe Trump will go for a 3rd term. Changing the Constitution would be too much of an uphill battle, and a growing number of his supporters are already questioning many of his decisions (such as the Iran mess and renaming Lake Ontario). Besides the fact that he will be 82 when this second term ends and people are really tired of senile old people running the country.

I doubt he could stay awake long enough to be sworn in....

I don't like the long, on-again, off-again venture into Iran, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt about whether we should be involved. It is true that all of our recent presidents, Republican or Democrat, have made statements about Iran not being allowed to have a nuclear weapon, yet they did nothing about it. Obama sent them pallets of cash, and I don't know for sure whether Biden said anything about it, but I'm sure he wouldn't know either. If our involvement in Iran is necessary, I'd much rather we get it done and get out than drag it out as we are. If you remember, we heard the same rhetoric about North Korea for years.

Weell I know that, but just saying, if he can find a way... seems to get most of what he wants.
Probably wrong, I like it when I am wrong :)

Obama changed Mt. McKinley to Denali, Biden changed the names of 6-7 military bases and tore down historic statures, and told us we have to call people whatever pronoun they choose .
President Trump loves trolling these people who object to every single thing that he does, and he always chooses something that supports America when he does this trolling of the liberals.

The internet has gone crazy with it now as MAGA joins in with the trolling. There are pictures of Canadian geese with blond , furry heads and they are now called “Donald’s Ducks”.
The San Andreas Fault as well as Niagara Falls will be named after Joe Biden.

When you think about it, we had a lot of things that we loved changed during the Democratic presidency.
We lost the Indian Maiden from Land of Lakes, Aunt Jemima from our syrup, and learned that if the T-people want to read books to kindergartners, while wearing skimpy women’s underwear, that was supposed to be okay.

Men can take over women’s sports, and names on a bathroom do not mean anything anymore.
If Sam decides his name is Sarah and he wants to wear dresses to work, we are supposed to call him Sarah and let him use the ladies bathroom now.
To me, any and all of these are much harder to live with than if President Trump trolls the liberals and Canadians about the name of a lake.

I don't see how renaming geographical features (including Mt. McKinley) in any way benefits America, but maybe I'm missing something. Trump's trolling for the sake of trolling is getting old with a lot of people, which is dangerous so close to mid-terms.

Most of the politically correct product name changes (because apparently everything on earth is racist now) had nothing to do with the government. Pressure from fringe lunatics made companies bow to pressure or else they were "racist". We couldn't have some syrup label causing anyone to have mental distress on Aisle 5; the crazies would burn down the store. Now that the Usaid money has dried up we don't hear from the righteously indignant much anymore. Obviously they were only morally offended by a butter box if they were getting paid.

Removal of military statues and renaming military bases still annoys me but the democrats were trying to buy votes by virtue signaling. That was stupid and annoying, blatant pandering.

There is no justification for the renaming of any of the Great Lakes, or the Gulf of Mexico for that matter. Simple political posturing that benefits no one. People are tired of it.
