I'm sore this morning. It's not the distance I walked yesterday as much as the terrain. I didn't take pictures, but I tried cutting through the woods in a place where I thought I might intersect a trail that I wanted to get to without walking along a street, and it turned out to be pretty wet. Not one to want to turn back, I managed to avoid getting wet, but that involved crossing on rotting logs, over fallen trees, on rocks, and maneuvering from one clump of above-ground area to another. In the end, I ended up coming back out near where I had gone in, but without going back on my own tracks. Then, while I have hiked them before without difficulty, most of the trails that I was on were along hills, and, while there were paths, they weren't smooth paths in some areas. So, I don't think it was the distance as much as some of the twisting that I had to do, and maybe the 90 degree temperatures didn't help, either.
