What a fun game this is!
So many memories coming back to me looking at everyone's pictures!
It's Friday night, and that means babysitting! I babysit my baby siblings every Friday night so mom and dad can do their weekly grocery shop.
Going to read my baby siblings this storybook tonight after putting them to bed.

Boy, and isn't that the truth!
I helped my mom a TON with my baby siblings, babysitting them included, and I babysat for untold neighbourhood moms. You'd think that would have prepared me for a baby of my own, and in many regards it did, but boy, having a baby to watch over and care for around the clock sure is a shock compared to spending a couple of hours in the evening or an afternoon babysitting someone else's little ones.

1978... it's Friday night, and Friday nights are babysitting night for me.
Three down, one to go! Just finishing up getting baby brother ready for bed in his crib. Baby brother is age 4 and toilet trained, but can't stay dry through the night, so diapers are still in order for him for nighttime.
It was double diapers for the longest time, but mom started using two double diapers folded together which she refers to as a double-double. The extra-added absorbency not only helps keep baby brother drier through the night, but more comfy, too, but boy, getting the pins to go through the extra bulky diapers isn't always easy. I find running the pins through my hair a few times works wonders!
Almost done... one pin to go, then the rubber pants, then up with the crib railing and night-night!

Getting to go out on Saturday night with girl friends. Most of my clothes are on the bed because I can't decide what to wear. Nothing is taking my fancy.

1976... helping my mom with the laundry today!
Soaking a dozen or so pairs of rubber pants in the utility sink. A little Pine-Sol and warm water, let the plastic diaper pants soak for an hour or two, rinse, then hang out on the clothesline!

Love babysitting Thursday nights, because Three's Company, Laverne & Shirley, and One Day at a Time, are on!
Baby Bobby is growing so quickly! He's 4 months old now and the youngest baby I'm currently babysitting. Bobby is Mary-Jane's youngest and third child. Her older two are Spencer age 2, and Alistair age 3-1/2.
I started babysitting for Mary-Jane when Alistair was just 6 weeks old!
I make .75¢ an hour babysitting here! .25¢ for each child, and babysit twice weekly (Tuesday and Thursday evenings).
I prepare bottles (glass) from scratch and warm them in a pot on the stove, I change cloth diapers, and I even wash dishes and clean the kitchen up on nights where Mary-Jane is running behind.
As soon as I put Bobby down for the night, the television is coming on!
