Boy, does this ever remind me of my babysitting days, Jacqueline!

We had the exact wall telephone!

As for the 80's... my oldest was born in 1983! I, too, was also a fulltime stay-at-home mom/housewife. We took a financial hit with me being at home and not working, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Babysitting at Mrs. D's tonight.

Getting ready to get the boys ready for bed. Both are in their cribs, and as soon as I have their nighttime bottles made up, I'll drop by the bathroom to wet down and wring out a baby washcloth, then it's down to the baby room to change the baby and toddler for the night.

Mrs. D, uses cloth diapers and rubber pants.

Newly married and off to the laundromat to do the washing on a Saturday morning. Came home and did the number crunching if we could afford a washing machine. The answer was yes. Not having to waste my time in a laundromat was wonderful.

My mom got by with just an old-fashioned wringer washing machine until around 1973, at which time dad bought her an automatic washing machine and electric tumble dryer.

After that I don't ever remember mom having to go to the Laundromat.
