Invasive AI

That is because they are too lazy to learn how to read and write properly. I ignore people who write like that, because I consider it to not be Artificial Intelligence, but Natural Stupidity.

However, whenever someone actually asked that question properly, "What are you up to?", my response ever since I was about 12 was "About 6'2", the last time I checked." But now, either the heels of my shoes are lower, or I'm one of the Shrinking Men. I'm only 6'1" now. :(

I'm 'shrinking in body mass, not fun.

It is definitely hard to tell fake from real anymore, that is for sure. In movies this is great because no people or animals are harmed when it is all AI created. I really like the Life of Pi movie and the AI wild animals in that movie. They were totally realistic !

But with the news, you just never know nowadays.
There was a screenshot from the Savannah Guthrie plea for her mother to be released, and in the screenshot, you can see that she has 5 fingers (not 4) on one hand.
Not sure if it was the screenshot that was faked or the whole video, but obviously, something was.
And her speech being copied with worlds from the Silence of the Lambs movie was weird, too. People think it might have been AI generated and the AI pulled the words from the movie to add into her speech.

I think people often worry about the wrong things.

AI alarmism is perhaps another distraction psyop. In the meantime creeping Marxism threatens to muzzle us and shackle us into stanchions and milk us dry.
Yes it may be a false flag.. Good thinking Jacob!!

I was just reading that , too, @Kate Ellery , and it is pretty shocking. The scammers have always pretended to be some relative, but if you did not have that person, or you asked questions they could not answer, then you could tell it was a fake call. Now, with voice imitation, it would be harder if that person was sounding just like someone you know.
The article I was reading said to have an emergency password that the person has to say, and if they don’t know the password, then you know the call is fake.

There are also a couple of faked kidnappings for ransom that were done with AI to fake the voice of the person allegedly kidnapped. If you get one of those faked calls, make your own call to the person involved and see if they answer their phone. If they answer, ask them if they have been in an accident, are stranded, or have been taken against their will. A word or phrase is good as well.

My husband recently had one of those fake "grandson in trouble" calls, though it was not AI. Just some dumbass calling him grandpa and saying he was hurt in a car wreck. My husband asked him his name and the scammer hung up. Husband said it definitely was not a voice he recognized but he wouldn't have sent any money anyhow without a lot of verifying and phone calls to the kids.

Many years ago, back when the kids were little, I had one of those calls. It actually was just to harass me, and not a scammer trying to get money, but it was terrifying, none-the-less.

My (ex) husband was working away, and in the wee hours of the night, the phone rang , and some guy said that he was stopped at a bad car wreck, and the person who was hurt was being taken to the hospital, and they gave him my phone number to call and let me know about the accident.
When I asked questions, they were somewhat evasive, and I was not sure if it was my husband, or maybe my oldest son, (who was going to school in another town at the time) that was hurt; but if they were on the road at that time of night, it had to be one or the other.

I left the kids sleeping, jumped in the car and rushed down to the hospital, and was told there was no one there with that name, or who had been brought in after an accident that night.
They called the other hospitals in the area, and there was no likely person at any of those either.
A police officer happened to be at the hospital where I was at, and he explained that thieves sometimes made calls like this to get people out of the house so that they could rob the house.

Now, I was in an even worse panic, because my two younger kids were at the house alone , and sleeping !
I hurried home even faster than I had gone to the hospital, but everyone was fine, and the kids were still sleeping. I made sure that all of the doors were secured before i went back to bed, and didn’t sleep well the rest of the night.
It turned out that it was some of my ex’s druggie friends who thought it was funny to scare me in the middle of the night, but it bothered me for a long time afterwards, it was such an awful experience.
