Good morning to all-

I see that the First Felon has signed an executive order that removes restrictions on lead shot for firearm ammunition. Is this true?

Of course, the First Felon has no knowledge of such restrictions and why they were put in place.

If this is true, I can't see how anyone- even hunters- can see this as a good thing. Is this what you all have heard?

Waterfowl requires steel. California requires non lead ammunition.
I have not seen the order you mention. Can you please post a link?

Considering the cost of steel shot over lead shot which is twice as expensive, less dense, requires larger pellets for same effect, is not as effective for longer ranges, more injured birds.

In a White House announcement yesterday...

"Lead ammunition was a problem, huh? Is it better than other ammunition, I assume?" Trump said. "I don't know what the hell that means, but I know one thing: You wanted it and I'm here for you."

And I agree with Marie Miller that lead shot is a better ballistic choice for waterfowl hunting, but lead shot is a long-range killer for birds which eat the shot and also for other birds (eagles, hawks) which eat the lead-poisoned birds. Lead poisoning is real, and it has lessened a great deal since lead shot was banned.

What can we say?

This seems like a desp[desperate grasping at an relatively insignificant issue, just for the sake of hate.

There are plenty of bread-and-butter issues far closer to home for most people that might turn them to sit on their asses in November or even cast their fates into the hands of the Islamo-Communists. We can start with the cost of living for one thing.

As unsatisfactory as things may be right now it is easy to see the risk of a far worse fate looming over our heads.
