Health Reports

Good idea for a thread, Ken, a health roll call. :sneaky:

Just to hit highlights:

6 month cancer progression check in a few days to evaluate if slow growing cancer is progressing any or enough more to warrant treatment. At this point they feel any treatment would be more harmful than beneficial.

Eye going wonky again even with new lens but no sign of anything that the specialty clinic could treat. Problem mainly due to glaucoma and muscles in one eye very weak. Frequently switching two pair of glasses with different prism placement, helps, but not a fix. I have always had a lazy eye, but now this one is trying to retire. It never really wanted to do its job to the fullest extent, but now is trying to go full liberal on me. I may have to wear a patch over it, aarg! 🏴‍☠️

Generally just more tired than ever before. My mental attitude stinks like dead fish and so far nothing seems to return me to my former sweetheart, happy go lucky, self. Perhaps I was never that way and just forgot. :cautious:

We get the prize!
I will have delt with this disease for last five years, I can take it, better than many other diseases. The prednisone, is hard to deal with, it works the opposite on me than most people. This does is only for 6 days and not the higher doses from before.
Sigh. Least I will see a rheumatologist end of the month. So glad to know someone who knows about this.Tnx for sharing!

Prednisone can be a love hate relationship.
I find it funny (not ha ha) that there are so many new diseases, syndromes, allergies, mental issues that were not around in the 50's and 60's (or at least mentioned among is) Even cancer was rare. It was shocking to hear that someone had cancer. Of course there were illnesses etc. My Father had polio and was a paraplegic. My mother had pretty bad arthritis but they both pushed through without government assistance. There was dementia in some who lived long enough but there wasn't the alphabet soup of children getting medication.
