Health Reports

Yesterday, I had my annual checkup at the doctor's office. In the past, these have involved nagging about cholesterol, blood pressure, weight, and occasional worries about my low pulse rate.

This time, there was none of that. My heart rate was 46, but they've finally gotten used to that; my blood pressure was 126/58; and, from a recent blood test, my cholesterol is well within normal ranges. I still have a lot of weight to lose, but although I gained back more than 10 pounds during my trip to Michigan and back, my weight is considerably less than at my last health check.

My appointment was scheduled for 11:30 am, I got there at 11:00 am, and they took me in right away. I was out of there by 11:20.

Thankfully, my health seems to be pretty good! “Knock!” My last blood work was June of last year. My NP stared at my chart; chewed on her lip, furrowed her brow trying to find something wrong. She said, “Well. Um. Um. Let’s see.” She kept scanning up and down my health record and couldn’t find anything worth complaining about. And then she said, “wow, even your cholesterol is good. I can’t find anything wrong.” I said, “that’s good, isn’t it?” She said, “Um, yeah. It is.” She couldn't prescribe me any drugs so I was out the door.🏃‍♀️

I hate going to the doctor for anything because they always want to do a wellness examine, which is nothing more than a dementia test. I always tell them I do not want a wellness examine! The nurse says,” its free! It doesn’t cost you anything.” I told her nothing is free. My insurance pays for it. If it was free, they wouldn’t push the wellness examine so hard and call me every year to try and schedule an appointment for it. And now, they want patients to sign a paper to have office visits recorded. They said it is to help the doctor do less paper work. Bull! I have two theories about that. One, Corporate wants to cover their butt in case of a lawsuit. Two, they want to make sure the doctors are pushing drugs and tests. I would not sign the agreement on the recording. Conversations between me and my health care provider should be private.

May you continue to be rewarded with positive medical and health appointments.

We've lost two close friends over the past two years to them not being more stringent on having yearly medical blood testing done. Hubby and I tell everyone we know, get in and get your blood tested yearly.

I have more than one health issue, but they seem doable compared to others health issues. Will be going hopefully this week to find out what is wrong with me left leg. I think it is bursitis , but not getting better this time. Seems like every stinking day I wake up with some other issue to deal with. it does get tiring. I will be going for a MRI in April due to another issue.
If all goes well there will be nothing to tell ya'll! 😁

I don't go to doctor with symptomless visits. I have a bp machine. There's plenty of things they could diagnose me with to have me worry about and prescibe meds for. I have had symptoms checked out but not going in otherwise. I am thinking of going on a long fast just to clean out for a while.I've had friends who have been overmedicated (found by a second opinion) even to the point of mental decline.
