Health Problems

Is that the elemental magnesium @Yvonne Smith or the total salt weight? Many good supplements will give you the weight of the element, and that is a better way to compare supplemental values. As Dr. Berg maintains, in part to sell his stuff, it is helpful to take a balanced mix of minerals to prevent too much imbalance, although magnesium is hard to take too much of as it is so deficient in most of our diets.
I bought a couple of his products that were not worth it. His name is on them but I don't think he is in on the manufacture.

curious = has your blood work came back low and that is why you started the potassium
I started it when I began having irregular heart beats to see if it would help. It didn't hurt, so I continued. It did not stop the irregularity but it may have made it slightly better. It is hard to supplement enough to raise the blood level, and if the blood level of potassium is low you need to find the cause. The most common cause is kidney issues or blood pressure medication.

I don't use a laptop on my lap. To me, a laptop is simply a more portable computer, but it still needs a desk or at least a table, as well as a chair or maybe a couch. When I see photos of people using their laptops in bed, a chair, or on a recliner, I think about the pain I would feel if I tried to do that.
I use an HDMI cable connect to TV and a mouse on tray table. I can sit ,lay back in recliner or kitchen chair and sofa. I really need to tv to help with vision and the sound is better on TV.

I started it when Dr B recommended it and it works for my occasional swelling. I sit waaaaaaayyyyy too much.

Burdock root with dandelion! Miracle cure all. Fixes Daughters heart palpitations and cramps. I make a tea in the morning and eat the leavings. It fixes my shaking hands. I know it contains a bio available mg for sure and no bad chemicals.

Dandelion root or leaves @Mary Stetler ? I cannot grow burdock here, but dandelions grow in abundance. Can you buy such things?

Before I lost some of my weight, I would sometimes have a problem with my lower legs swelling, including the thing where the sock line takes forever to go away, so I have gotten in the habit of raising the foot of our bed to about 30 degrees or so. Although we don't generally manipulate it anymore, we have one of those beds where we can raise the foot, head, or center of the bed with a remote. I've gotten used to having the foot of the bed raised so it's still that way, although I am not experiening the leg swelling any longer.

Thanks Ken , I didn't think about raising the foot of bed. We have one bed with a hand rail where we can raise top, middle and foot.
I'll try that tonight.

@Shirley Martin -- how are things going? Did you ever find a tablet or device that will work for you in the recliner?
No. I have to lean so far back that I have to hold a device above with both hands. That would leave neither hand to type with. I read a little bit on my Kindle, but my arms get tired after a few minutes.

I have to do at least a minimum of housework to keep the health department from condemning us. That leaves very little time to be online. ☹️

I was just thinking that our bathroom is going to need crime scene tape pretty soon if I don't get busy.

I hate cleaning the bathroom(s). It seems 10 minutes after it has been cleaned, a clean towel “mysteriously” goes back cock-eyed on the towel rack, and the vanity looks like we had birds splashing in a sink full of water. 🤨

I take 400 mg at night because it helps me sleep, stops most leg cramps, and is beneficial for my heart. I have a bottle now that has a variety of several kinds of magnesium.
I get Aussie made Carusos magnesium from chemist warehouse last time I looked the brand up it had very good reviews ( a lot of supplements on shelves in Australia are made in China )
