Have You Ever (Yes or No)

No

HYE secretly …..binned something you didn’t like having in the house

I have ….both hubs and I had been married before and he had a little wood bowl that belonged to his ex …..he used to put ( dry ) chips ir nuts …in it while watching footy

spiteful ….i know ….but I hated it …….it was ugly and took up a prime position in my kitchen…..so on one of my off days it went in-the bin…..so there …

No, never secretively, but have binned a few things, some that I regretted afterwards. We often get so weighted down with stuff, we just lose ourselves when it comes time to prune things down especially as we age.

HYE locked yourself out of the house?

No

Have you ever locked yourself out of the car …….

I did once , I had a habit of throwing my handbag in the boot of the car …and threw my bag in boot/ shut boot ….

before taking the keys out of the bag …Dah

.( lots of people were getting handbags stolen from cars while stopped at traffic lights ) …often drivers would have the handbag sitting on the passenger seat …so it was easy for thief’s to open passenger door and run off with the bag …..

HYE ridden a motorbike or been a passenger on one

Yes ,rendered down sheep fat to make it in the 1970’s chucked a cake of it in a boiling copper and diapered into washing machine
As needed

HYE been broke …..to the extent you couldn’t buy anything at all
I remember the drill so well, Kate!

I usually had a load of diapers washed and hung on the line by 6 am! Even remember doing back-to-back double diaper loads some days!

Rubber pants were cycled if/when I could. Off with the old at changing time, a quick rinse or hand-wash, then pants were pinned up on the line to air and dry between changes! Always a few pairs of rubber pants hanging on the clothesline throughout the day.

Having diapered all 6 of my kids the old-fashioned way, serves as testament as to how reliable and economical old-fashioned diapers were! Boy, did they get the job done, and so very well may I add!

Being the busy fulltime stay-at-home mom that I was, I couldn't have asked for a better diaper.

I still had my youngest in these (summer of 1996). Granted, dear son was down to wearing diapers strictly at nighttime only, nevertheless, nary a wet crib sheet or pair of pyjama bottoms to report with cloth diapers and rubber pants, very little in the way of diaper rash, and no running to the store for Pampers or Huggies!

Those were the days!

No, but have seen many that have! :giggle:

Good point about carjackers!

HYE witnessed a bad fire season (forest fire)?

Yes, the mount that we look across was totally burnt around 2.4 years back. We evacuated but were lucky not to have suffered much damage at all. I hope never to experience that again.

You used to make your children's play dough?

Not so much now days ….I've given most of them to the kids …or binned them as kids didn’t want them

You give unwanted fruits / veggies to neighbours ( home grown )
