Yes, sure have!

I was busy with babies in the home, it was ironing day, and so I set up my ironing board in the spare room, there was two laundry baskets sitting next to my ironing board full of diapers fresh off the clothesline, along with another laundry basket which contained the items I needed to press.

One item after another I'd fetch from the ironing basket, press whatever it was, then hang it up. Well, busy with this, darting out of the room to do that, tend that something or another, and so I get back to ironing and while focusing my attention outside through the window, I reach down to fetch another item from the ironing basket and instead pull a pair of rubber pants out of one of the baskets of diapers.

I set the pair of rubber pants down on the ironing board, grab the iron, and... yup, down onto the pair of baby rubber pants the hot iron is set! Rubber pants were melted instantly, with the smell of melted plastic in the air, and melted plastic all over the face of my iron!

Hubby used fine wet and dry sandpaper to clean my iron but the black stain on the face remained.

HYE ever used a nappy pin for something other than pinning nappies?
